You can download adobe flash play plugin 11.xxx from googl pay or aptide, yu can use dolphin browser.
or firefox or flashflox

one small issue that may be related is that SSH Droid doesn't seem to function correctly with this ROM but did with minix stock firmware 2. It fires up but looses the server connection also immediately.

Not a problem as a I fond an alternative ssh server that worked OK, just wondered if maybe something you took put Bob caused the issue with SSh Droid

can you pull a logcat after running SSH Droid. I cannot think of anything I did that would at all mess with that? Logcat should tell us something.

have just installed the previous version of SSH Droid ( v 2.1.0) I had from a backup and that works fine.

Yesterday i just installed the latest version 2.1.1 from playstore after installing your ROM in which developer has tried to add support for android 5, guess he broke something along the way !

I'm happy to leave as is for now

Tried CIFSManager on Finless v0.9, no luck.

Can someone check the working temp please (with CPU temp from the playstore), when playing an movie? Mines got a bit high (to 83c). And you can feel with your hand the box runs hot.

Hi Genem. I can confirm a higher than normal working temp with a clean install of the stock v2 or Finless v2. My main concern with the stock v2 or Finless v2 ROM is that SystemPanel shows one cpu core running at 100% almost all the time or all the time (even at idle with no movies playing). This appears to be due to the main internal system process "system" running maxed out and pushing the cpu far beyond what any of the previous v1 and v1x betas have done on the same unit here. If anyone wants to check and see if their X8 or X8-H v2 firmware also has this system bug, download the free SystemPanelLite app from the playstore. Once downloaded and installed, open the SystemPanelLite Settings and enable it to show all the cpu monitors including the System processes. Then you should be able to click on and check all the cpu cores real time usage as well as scroll through and see which app or process is eating up the system resources. That said, I have a good number of Android phones and tv boxes here (besides a couple the X8-H units) and none max out cpu cores or the internal system process "system" most of the time. Anyway, if anyone else can confirm the excessively high cpu usage by the main internal process "system" on v2, please post your findings.

Any body else having issues using a Logitech k400r with this rom?

I seem to have issue using the k400r with this rom. I'm able to put hit the power button to put the unit to sleep, but it looks like I can't seem to wake it up. Is anyone else having any issues with this?

This is a problem on EVERY Minix ROM or otherwise since about mid-June last year. Minix calls it deep sleep.

Thanks Bob. This clears it up for me then. What a terrible idea to have this feature with no means to disable it. It's not like these units have a high electricity usage while a sleep, let alone it would be draining any imaginary batteries.

High CPU use and temperature

A while back I posted about high cpu use. Had one person confirm. I have 3 units and the all do the same thing. One cpu core runs at 100% all the time. On the finless rom and the new stock one as well. Does someone have any idea what I can do t fix it? Version 1 of Bob's rom does not have this problem.

Problem with high temperature is probably caused by an ir. module wich is included in the new fw.2. As soon there is no airmouse connected the system keeps intensive scanning for the missing signal. Thats why the core2 stays almost 100% all the time and the temp rises to high. As soon as the airmouse is connected, the tempo stay normal.
hope they fix it before the ota update.
is it something Finless can fix too?.

Can you use an USB stick with fat32 to do th upgrad instead of an SDcard ?
