You are correct...as long as you keep your TWRP backup on external SD...you can restore the current ROM as often as you like.

You will need to flash TWRP by itself after the first boot is complete.

After I have flashed using the Rockchip tool and booted once my device, can I make full NANDROID backup from TWRP to SD card and use it to restore back to clean 1.9 if needed and no need for Rockchip tool until newer ROM released? I ask this, cause I do all kinds of tests on my device and need to reflash it often and hate to boot my PC for that, or Im not even close to a computer when on the road.

The battery drain is only WiFi related?
Anyway it does not help

I bought 2 PiPO P9, one for me and one for a friend, and I'm overall satisfied with it. I own an Asus MeMo pad 10, and although I still prefer my Asus' design, I'm really happy with P9's performance.
I hate kitkat not supporting flash anymore (I know, Adobe is discontinuing it, but lots of sites and video streaming use it). At least I solved it using Puffin browser (the only one that actually worked).
What I still can't solve is the tablet Wi-Fi not waking up from sleep. What's weird is that one tablet has this problem, the other doesn't, though they are just few units apart in their serial number.

Hey Randy, when you get your v989 can you give a review? I've been lurking over at the Onda forums, as this device intrigues me. Some users have reported random restart issues, which seem to be hardware related, kind of like how not all pipos are the same. Onda might be a serious contender for my 2015 replacement.

Cool thanks. Let me know when you get more time with it if you experience any of the random reboots. They were also have supposed to release lollipop by now but haven't, maybe they got close with 5.0 then decided to redirect for 5.0.1 since that fixed a lot of issues.. Who knows with these Chinese companies!
