    Both tablets?

With the stock firm I hadn't the wifi wakeup issue, even though it go to deep sleep. With 1.8 I have it and it's really annoying.

yes, both tablets. I didn't have any problem with the stock fw, and after flashing both tablets with 1.8, only one of them presented that problem.

I noticed kernel #213 caps the cpu speed to 1.6ghz while kernel #192 uses the full 1.8ghz

Flashed 1.8 and running nicely, but after I installed CatLog to check if the problem of SurfaceFlinger spamming logs is still there, unfortunately it is. Im suprised nobody else has noticed this or is it my device doing it somehow?

Otherwise system seems to run OK, gotta see if the wifi draining battery while sleep is still there and do other tests...

                I have a WIFI only version .
Had lesser problems with the 1.6 ROM, with 1.8 I see sometimes a reboot while I am doing nothing with the tablet and the battery is not bad but not as good as with the 1.6 ROM. Nop problems here with deep sleep and WIFI.

These are no complains just to share mmy experiance with the builder from the rom.

Just a quick observation: Wifi symbol does not indicate wifi traffic (it is always solid).
Also, it does not always ask for a SIM PIN upon reboot.

SurfaceFlinger is an Android system service, responsible for compositing all the application and system surfaces into a single buffer that is finally to be displayed by display controller. It's supposed to be there.

I understand its important system application. Problem is it spamming log files like crazy and it really hard to try read logs when needed. Atm 80% of my log file is just it spamming useless text...

My P9 (16GB) arrived a couple of days ago and it exceeds expectations. Of course I immediately installed RR1.8 and apart from the deep sleep/wifi-drain bug it works great.

BUT (I'm Dutch so I'm not happy unless I can complain about something ) it came with this cover: http://www.banggood.com/Ultra-thin-T...-p-949825.html and the smartcover function is driving me crazy (even more than I already was). The P9 turns on when I close the lid (but never when I open it) and when I flip it to the back the slightest movement makes the P9 turn on or off. Is there a (hidden) setting somewhere to turn the smartcover function off or do I have to physically mutilate the cover by cutting out the magnets (DIE STUPID COVER! DIE!)?

                          New Pipo P9

Got a new P9 yesterday. Loaded rileyrom 1.8 and it works well. No problems so far. Tablet is very fast. I like this model because it has GPS builtin and charges with the USB cable as well as the regular charger. USB charging works.

True, with the riley 1.8 CPU running at 1.6 , how I can make it work at 1.8 ghz ? I tried it with the kernel 192 but don't work at 1.8... only 1.6

                              thx

I dont understand why you even need to run 1.8Ghz, tablet is more than enough fast now and running 1.6Ghz even saves battery. I prefer this way...
