And yes i did use the coupon code to get 25% off. Comes down to $171 for 9x and $254 for T9. The CPU is probably not all that different in speed but I'm concerned about the GPU Mali 450. How powerful is this? Can I play games with smoothness and not lag?

And does anyone know when the coupon code expires? I'm thinking they may have more discounts on Chinese New Years

mali 450 of talk 9x has no problem with games I've tested: everything works smooth, keep into account that CPU of T9 is in between 15-20% faster than CPU of talk 9x and Mali T760 is nearly 50% faster than mali 450 of talk 9x.
Generally is definitely faster but it's not a revolution.

A general rule could be:
If you need to choose between cube talk 9x and T9: go for the T9!

If you already have a talk 9X, the switch to the new model could not worth unless selling your Talk 9x for T9 is within 50$ difference or you have something on talk 9x that hurt you too much!

This is the reason why I will remain on my talk 9x, I don't feel any performance/functionality/battery life lack on my tablet so far!

Yes you can, miracast protocol is working exaclty as for Talk 9x.

MHL should work on Talk 9x and T9 too.

I'm not interested on it because I'm using an EZcast dongle that is MUCH more confortable (and cheap) than the cables used for MHL...

Thanks for the insight. I don't have any cube products. At $254 after the coupon code. I could get the Xiaomi Mipad around the same price. How would the Mipad compare to the T9? It is equipped with a more powerful chip?

In my view, Xiaomi Mipad belongs to another tablet league, gaming tablets. No 3G, and 8" screen, although a more powerful CPU&GPU, but similarly priced.

Although I own a Teclast T98 (which is very similar to T9 in terms of tech specifications and performance, BTW, very happy with it), I think the Cube T9 is the way to go due to its new MT8752,..is the Cube 9X pushed a step forward, and this a real guarantee...

I agree with Flux1000,
Xiaomi is equipped with tegra K1 that for CPU is based on Cortex a15 (high power consumption and high performance, no 64bit support), but it has a GPU that has an EXTREME performance!
Nvidia Tegra K1 is an High performance SoC that is good allaround but still has some apps incompatibility issues.
It is designed first of all for hardcore gamers!

It cannot be compared with a general purpose tablet as T9 and cube talk 9x, that other than that are equipped with 9.7" displays (xiaomi is 7.9").

NOTE: Next Nvidia SoC for tablet will be Tegra X1 with 64 bit support and also GPU power increase!

Do I need to flash any custom ROMS? What's the difference between custom ones and the stock rom?

Using Kingroot to Root the T9

Kingroot. Using PC edition. The root management software will also be installed. You can't use supersu.

What's the difference between 1.03 and 1.05¿ any significant improvement?

Anyone else been able to 'root' their T9 using this app other than freakboy?

I downloaded the app but it is all in Chinese, and I do not read Chinese.

Help! Would love to have a rooted T9 with 4.4.4.

Hints on reading/decipering the language??
