I just received my T9 just a few hours ago.
I have one question about something unclear for Cube T9 owners.
Tablet arrived with firmware 1.2.
After 3 OTA updates I noticed my IMEI changed to 11111111111111.
Mobile data and phone function is still available..no loss here.
Cube and Mediatek just started to hide IMEI on latest FW?
I found my IMEI number on Google Dashboard in 2 instances under T9 (111111111111111 and 35774236884xxxx)..
In FW 1.2 checked after first start and was visible like 35774236884xxxx.
WTF?
L.E And serial number was changed in 123456789abcdef. Real serial no. I was able to find in Engineering Mode so it isn't lost.
Please, someone with FW1.5 might could check if this is a common problem?
Correction: Only the serial number appears to be fake however my imei didn't change to a bunch of 1's.
BTW I will be getting my sim card tomorrow, so I will test out the 4g and post my results here.
The disappointing part right now is, the only thread I have found on the net that is actually talking about this tablet is here.

However, managed to root with KingRoot, backed up original NVRam with MtkDroidTools_v253 and restored IMEI found under Google Dasboardwith this tutorial http://forum.xiaomishop.com/thread-359500-1-1.html

For me, weight (610g) is not much different if I'm looking at U65GT...50g. is nothing.
Screen have a layer under touchscreen (when screen is off I notice is silver, not black like in U65GT - week 30/2014)
I suppose this silver layer have purpose to reduce glare when used outside, but this is not bad at all.
Now..the T9 benefits comapred with U65GT:
First - all apps from Playstore are visible/compatible (Dead Trigger 2, UC Browser HD, etc)
T9 charging time is decreased..here I have to look more time to say somethind with exactity.
Battery percentage who is stuck in all U65GT FW is solved..with T9 discharge in 8 hours during night time is ~1% with WiFi always on and mobile data connected.
Is fast... with much faster than T9 (in boot time (~16s), running/installing app's, etc) .WiFi signal is a little stronger, Mobile signal is with ~20% more stronger.
About 4G I have nothing to say..no compatible SIM card, but I'll solve it tomorrow.
No magnetical sensor in T9..or my cover is without magnets.
Antutu with FW 1,05 give me 40200 points.
Thease pictures are with my T9 and Huawei ascend P6 (beautifull screen with Gorilla G.)
As you can see, brightness is lower in T9 but exactly the same with U65GT and is warmer.
For those who search a new tablet I reccomend T9.
External SD card have no write permission- will be solved in future custom FW's with no doubt.
NTFS file system for external SD is unsupported.
L.E for larger details save photo's on PC and give some 100% ratio.

I really am pretty sure it is not a SILVER layer on the underside of the screen. It is probably something clear, but with a mesh involved.
Different types of screens; different manufactuers have given us many shades of color in the screen from light grey to pitch black over the years. It has to do with how it is made for a number of reasons ...one being contrast.
Years back when I saw really dark screens on CRTs, I was told it was the better type; higher contrast; better color. Today we have all this new new tech; different types of screens, so who knows which is the best ...light ot dark??

Just a quick one, would the serial number happen to be the same numbers on the back panel of the tablet?

From your phone keypad, type in *#66# or *#*#3646633#*#* ..I don't remember and must select SN/Imei tab. I'm at work right now and T9 is at home.
GPS is just briliant on T9.. 1m fix indoor in first 2 min.

Where do you recommend to buy T9? Aliexpress, e.g. store: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/609719 or maybe another place? Where will be good and quite cheap, also with shipment?
Pls forgive me a stupid question.
I saw on many movies on youtube or pics here you have a factory film (layer) on the screen with colored squares in the left top corner. I hope it's possible to remove it.
Many thanks.

Noobquestionalert- In saying all this, why is the serial important to have the real one? Does it matter that when under the normal method of viewing the tablets information is wrong?
