Wireless update says system on latest firmware even though it's still 1.03.

          which method?
I didn't see anything relevant rooting from you (or am I becoming blind...)?

If you mean Kingroot PC edition, as far as I've read this doesn't work for MT8752, are you sure you have root access? Did you try root checker to be sure you really have root access?

NOTE: in any case I don't have a T9 to test with, I'm only interested to help other user's with MT8752 to gain root access

root = ability to have administrator rights (install and use Titanium backyìup, faster GPS, greenify and ALL apps requiring rooting access, possibility to delete some chinese stuffs and so on), it's really usefull

OTA update (if the other term is this) = install the latest stock rom via Over The Air (OTA) updates, Stock Roms are always NON rooted.

I have a T9 and I have it rooted using kingroot. I am using apps that require root e.g. titanium so I am sure it works. The reason I have posted this method is bcoz ppl who have T9 asked about it. That's the main objective of joining a forum isn't it, to share things which u have tried before. I am still stuck at 1.03 so I am not sure if it will work on 1.04 or 1.05.

The root management software - kinguser will be installed by kingroot PC edition. Albeit it doesn't work as well as supersu. Now and then one or two apps will complain there is no root and u just need to reauthorize that app again and it's OK.

                @freakboy
What is your available space for installing apps on your rooted T9?
alex77 and YmorPL said there are only 2Gbs on unrooted T9...
Can others confirm they have only 2 Gbs on their unrooted T9?

So, it means that there are only "1.94 Gbs" on "total space" for installing apps
on present Android Kit Kat, isn't it? it is a sort of bad news...
I knew it was possible for apps to "access" SD storage as on previous Android or some rooted Android KitKat devices... (?)
or have we have to wait for upgrading Lollipop on T9 and hoping it will work...?

Congratulations! Have you been able to make the necessary backup, especially with what applications? Do you have an idea for a custom recorvery for this tablet? Thank you for your reply.

at the moment there is no TWRP or CWM recovery available for T9, but as freakboy stated you can root your tablet with kinguser PC application.
After rooting the tablet you can install and use Titanium backup to do a backup of your device SW.

                            I completely agree,

Thank you for clarification, it could be useful for other users.

If you want to install a newer version you can download and flash 1.04 from here:

do an OTA update to 1.05 then try to root it again with the method you used previously.
