Nand Flash Low Format operation doesn´t work anymore. I think this time, my MK808 has died. Is any way of format it al low, not only a partition? I think it has problems with the partition of memory for applications.

i had such fails with my 10bg3 also.
the only solution was the needle fix. and shortcut the pins on the nandchip .
but ask to bob which pins

Asked by private message. It´s seems that the minipc is in flash mode because I plug it by OTG and Flash tools recognized it without reset it by button.

So..., it has to be connected on the regular USB Slot?

I need to research the NAND chip to I can tell you which pins to short to put it in MASK ROM mode. This "may" fix your problem no gaurentee.

Give me till tomorrow as it is holloween here and I wont be able to do it tonight.

would you be able to build a module for rtl8192su ?

either post the .ko file or include it in your next build?

                  Id really appreciate it.

                    Just got my MK808

Just got my MK808 today, and finished installing this great Rom!

                    Thanks Finless!

I'm really surprised this worked on my 7 year old LCD Toshiba TV!! @720p
WiFi is stableish... slow speeds sometimes.
Audio/Video is sync, unless its slightly off.. i'm not sure.

Also SetCPU reporting this is running at 1608 Mhz
                    AnTuTu Score: 6542

Loving this thing so far.... wish i can use my Bluetooth dongle..

I'm excited, I get my MK808 tomorrow. I've tried reading all the posts so far and I'm planning on installing Finless's 1.5 ROM but I'm scared by his warning regarding the reboot corruption issue with the kernel. Since I'm a newbie, I'm just afraid I'll accidentally reboot it. Is this something that will be obvious NOT to do once I get the MK808 and assuming I follow his instructions? In other words, I'm not sure how easy it is to reboot it or if it's obvious you are about to reboot it (like you have to select a REBOOT menu option). Just wondering if the benefit of Finless's ROM outweighs the risk as a newbie of messing something up??

Having been using this rom for a few nights, it occasionally reboots itself, but survived so far.

Experienced hard resets twice when I power it off by just pulling the power plug. Soft power off widget from Quick Boot app can help.

Apart from these, it is an excellent rom. Thanks to Bob.

                            Wifi Issues Potential Fix?

I updated to ROM 1.5 yesterday and I constantly have problem with the WiFi. Sometimes it shows as connected but apps can't reach the network. Sometimes it shows as not connected, but WIFi Analyzer shows about -50db signal which is good.

Is anybody else suffering the same? How do you get around it?
Personnaly, I either wait a couple of minutes or I power down the unit... but I would like a software fix if possible.

By the way, it really seams like a software issue, does anybody knows how to get hands on the kernel source code?
I can't find the OP that I saw from lastnight, but somebody mentioned using a more powerful/different power plug with the MK808 and it resolved thier Wifi Issues. After searching the garage and attic, all i could find was an old Motorola Q charger, which is rated at 850ma instead of 2A, but I thought I would give it a try. Had to use the OTG port as I recall it having some different wiring for that phone, but I have been running Youtube in HQ for 45 minutes, no lag, no drop, and the status shows that I am buffered well ahead. Play store is downloading apps too, and Wifi states it is holding 65Mbps. I don't get it, but I thought I would confirm what somebody else already posted.

Now that I am running, there are some strange screen flickers inside the Play Store, but I'm guessing that will be addressed as this is a beta firmware. Great work Bob, I've been following your work for a while. I'll be setting up a Samba client and streaming Breaking Bad in the coming ours so hopefully the Wifi holds up.

Actually mine came with a 2A charger
WiFi is great most of the time... but still some slowdowns at times or after it idles for a bit.

Mine came with a 2A adapter as well. The thought of the OP is that the charger some of ours came with is garbage, lets off a ton of interference (either RF related, or just a dirty AC-DC convertion/current), and effects the Wifi signal. After I got a couple of apps installed from the Play Store, the 850ma adapter was no longer able to power the device, it started a reboot loop. Returning to the original 2A charger allowed me to power back up, but the Wifi Signal was again degraded, and Youtube would not buffer or play.

I don't know if my issue is different, but my signal only shows 2-3 bars of signal, and I am very close to my router. It will initially show 65Mbps, and slow to 5Mbps and become a worthless dongle. With the different power supply, I had a full 5 bars of signal, and it never left 65Mbps. I would like to know if anybody else can identify with this issue and try what I have tried, preferably with a stronger power adapter.
