I try to flash with firmware "ICS_mod_by_lewy20041 V1.0.8 1080p" and after low level format and IDS i get the error in this line :

and after i dissconect i try to flash with version 1,7 Finless BUT my MK is not recognized now by my laptop .
Ok before try to enter in mask mode you must try to push the reset button and while it is pressed conect the usb to the OTG port. look at device manager if it found a new device. tell me if windows detect the stick.

This started happening to me recently. I thought my nand chip went bad but in fact I wore out the cheap connector pins on my USB cable. Got a new nice cable and no longer got the verification errors.

Also just to add, noise from your tv can cause failures like this so try to keep the cable away from your tv and for sure do not try to power the stick from your tv.

finally just because the verify failed does not mean the flash was bad. unplug it and pllug it in and it may boot fine anyway. Although I know it is not a good feeling to have a failed verify.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yeah, I had previously thought so too, so after each flash despite error I plugged to TV only to get pengiunes...tried three other cables, no joy.

    I think its dead.

I know the feeling my friend, saw you log, it seems yours does not even copy data to nand flash.
Mine does, but due to non verification, perhaps it misses a last stage to close off the procedure, so again disappointment. I just hope you have more luck than I did.

This is very important because after flash the system still applying the firmware.
The check or verification stage in which both the niabi and I are referring to is applied straight after the software is downloaded onto the flash memory chip, WITHIN the flash utility programme.

I am also currently experiencing the same problems, but on the MK809 T002, I short pins 6-7 instead [as per instructions on MK809.com]

I have re-tried numoerous times, and notice that for me, it always fails at the same point around 180k.

Left it overnight, still no joy

    MK808 fix worked!!!

Thanks for you all for giving this information...

First I failed to flash 4.2.2 rom and got NAND erasing error... my MK808 was bicked.

I tryed everything (pin 8/9 method) with no success but after some testing I figure out that problem that caused my MK808 to brick was the USB cable.

So with a new USB cable (mine have some ferrite stablizer) all worked ok and my MK808 lives again

The cable that worked for me is like this one: http://www.mobilitysite.com/wp-conte...-cable-end.jpg

well, what do you know I managed to get my mk808 flashed again...

after trying about 100 times one of those times it worked..., but I did something different I took away the heat sink, then put the mk808 in mask mode, and since I had to go eat, I just left it there... I came back about 20 minutes later, then hit flash, and it worked, no errors, my MK808 is working right now, but I am afraid to re-flash it again to test it

anyways you guys might want to try that, I have no idea if it was just luck or did something happened in those 20 minutes in mask mode

EDIT: as I suspected, device died again after reboot

well, I will join the club of the bricked mk808

Tried everything on this thread but still no go.

the difference is I think I fried my NAND by mistake, I did a cooling mod, and it worked perfectly, the unit has never run as cool as it did, but I think I either did one or 2 things wrong:

1.- put to much pressure on the heat sink I installed and by mistake I damaged the NAND as I see the factory heat sink does not touch the NAND and I think by the pressure I made it touch, and it probably screwed something
2.- I forgot to put the governor back to interactive after a benchmark, so it ran at 1.46 all night

next morning after watching movies/videos and doing some web browsing the keyboard was partially non respondent so I decides to reboot the unit, and that was the end of it.

I tried to erase the NAND it did it with no problems, tried to write the ROM, did it successfully but when it starts to check the download data it always fails.

so I went into mask mode by shorting pins 8&9, same exact result.

something to note is that the check always seems to fail at different parts (sometimes at 50k, others at 100k, and others even at 1000k it seems random)

sometimes I get "Download IDB Fail" on a first attempt, but if I try some more, it goes into writing the rom

so I am guessing my nand is FUBAR, I've tried 4 different cables, on 2 different Pc's on every USB port available, same exact problem.

I am attaching my log, but I don't think it will do any difference, but if anyone can check it and at least confirm this is dead, I can start ordering a new one as I am now in LOVE with this android stick :P
