Anyone else have the issue that when you play a movie/clip etc in ehomemediacenter that the device soft
reboots at the end of the clip/movie ?

For the rest you can see that the device chokes when you use speedtest.net (on the playstore) and then try to move the mouse ;-)

Yes, same here. Only BS Player works without any problems for me. I'm using remote windows shares mounted as local directories.

Hi @all,

first of all thx to Finless for the realy great job.

I'm not sure but i think the WIFi Problem can be a Software Problem. I soldered a new WIFI antenna to the device. At the first time the connection was nice. After 4 or 5 reboots the device will not connect to the router. I can see my network in the wifi list and the networks from the neighbourhoods but the connection will not establish.
In the WIFI list from my MK808 i can see 3 networks, my laptop shows only 2.

have anyone an idea?

Same here. Its a nice combination with the app "Playto" running on my Nexus 7. Is there an alternative to ehomediacenter that works with the playto app anyone?

Hi everybody,

First thanks to Bob for the hard work ...
I just received my MK808 today and tried to upgrade my device to 1.5a Rom by windows...

After following every steps, i cannot installed the drivers for windows 7 64 bits...
Windows told me that the drivers is up to date then the "Rom Flash tool" cannot recognized my device ..

I would like to precise that my MK808 settings is put on "connected PC" and "Debugging USB" is turned off ...

Any ideas?

i think you must put the device on flashmode for installing the drivers.

Salut,

Press and hold the reset button on MK808 with a paper clip before connecting to you PC. Once you plugged the USB just release the button after 10 seconds and the flashing tool should see your device.

Once it does that you must then install the drivers. Instructions are in the README of my ROM.

We spoke about the USB sound card awhile back.
I just want to let you know that USB sound card INPUT is WORKING in 1.5a!!
You can have a working microphone using 1.5a.
However the sound output does not function still!

Ok, here is what you do :

1. Uninstall the the unknown device in your "Menu Démarrer" => "Périphériques et imprimantes" (right-click on the unknown device and select "Supprimer le périphérique")

2. While holding the reset button pressed on MK808 with a paper clip, connect OTG port to USB of your PC. You'll see that Win7 starts to install a driver but it won't find one, so you'll see a red cross mark that the driver was not installed.

3. Go to "Périphériques et imprimantes" and select your device. Right-click and select "Propriétés" => tab "Matériel" => "Propriétés" => "Modifier les paramètres" => tab "Pilote" => "Mettre à jour le pilote" => "Rechercher le pilote sur mon ordi". Select the driver included in the zip file with ROM and install it.

That should be it. Then start the flash tool. It should see your device.

Try to enable bluetooth in settings. Though I'm not sure if MK808 supports BT keyboards and mice...
