Day 2 of testing 1.5a...

what i had... wifi ist dropping from 65 to 52 to 19 to 5... but not loosing full connection... what i hate really much... once a day some of my paid apps will gone and i dont know why... they are still as shortcut on homescreen, but not avaliable, so i have to reinstall them... its ok as long as it only will be benchmarks aso but its not funny if the external keyboard helper is gone... any ideas why this happend? its only on paid apps... free apps are all still there.

hi guys, what app is used to see the wifi speed?? wifi analyzer just gives the signal strength but i could not find anything to monitor the network speed...

NEW - MK808 Android mini TV Player - Finless 1.5A Custom ROM

I bought mk808 and it seems that is working quite well with The firmware installed ( release 27/10).
They installed me some software, including youtube, working well too And they configured perfectly: The man that sold me in **** was very glad.
I just Found a low wifi signal, so i wonder if upgrade to finless 1.5a cf.
If i do it, i will lose everything previously installed or it's only firmware And The android configuration And the software installed will not change?

Hi all,

My first post on this forum and firstly thanks to Bob for the effort in getting the MK808 to a ROM stage where things appear to have been vastly improved over the stock ROM.

I have a few questions though after flashing my device to V1.5a:

1. On the bottom right of the loading screen it says V1.5, is this correct or should it say V1.5a?
2. Once booted I am finding that I cannot use the Play Store or the web browser. With both, the screen goes black or Green or Blue upon launching and I have to reboot? Is this related to the screen problem or something new? I tried this on 2 brands/sizes of TV and the same thing happens! For info, You tube app works fine?????
3. I attempted to reflash the device but now my PC will not detect it to put into flash mode?

Any help greatfully received.

I have the same issue(the screen goes black or green or blue upon launching the web browser, Play store) after flashing to 1.5a ROM...does anybody have a solution for this issue? I tried modifying the HDMI output....no change....does anybody know what is causing this issue?

First thanks for the ROM, I installed it just after having opened the box and it works great (antutu 7234)!!!!!

I have just a little problem. I bought a measy RC12 wireless keyboard to use with the MK808. It connects and works well, but when I type a letter it appears several times, like if I was holding the key for a long time.

Is there any configuration or keyboard settings to set up to avoid those annoying multiple letters?

I'm new to android 4.1.1, I've been through parameters but didn't found anything...

I had the same problem one day, and found out that if you plug the ir part directly onto the usb connector that sometimes the 2.4 frequency interferes with the wifi signal because it's so close to the body. I then tried attaching it to the OTG port instead with the extra cable given. This gave it more room to breathe away from the mk808 body and it solved the trick.

I have installed Finless 1.5A and saw the following:

Wifi is sure more stable. Problems arise when you open Youtube or playstore, for some reason I get an instant disconnection.
Youtube installed in the ROM does not play (tried with the default launcher). Therefore I changed that to 4.0.23 which works, but I can clearly see the wifi disconnection when I open up youtube, scroll down or search for videos.
At some point there is a flickering in he screen (working with HDMI, 720p). Didn't have that with the before.

Hi,

I just flash this new ROM, and I'm happy to see how works now my wifi.

I'm using a dongle to connect my riitek MWK02 keyboard, but I can't switch on it. I tried to use Blueinput with the same problem, hangs trying to open the device.

This device is working on Win and Ubuntu, but there's no way to go up with it on MK808.

Please BOB, can you helpme!?

I've checked with a Conceptronic CBT100U, and nothing, my MK808 can't open device....

Can somebody confirm the operability of a bluetooth dongle with this new 1.5a ROM? and if it's ok, please send me the model or chip.

[SOLVED] My device is bricked

Hallo, I am new in this forum.
I have downloaded this rom, because I read many positive comments on it.
I read with big attention the readme file and I executed every passage, but my system (I tried with three different pc) says me that it is impossible find the driver and in device manager my MK808 has always the yellow triangle (on upgrade, of course, I put the right directory... ).
But the problem now is that when i put my mk808 on tv, start the first screen (Google TV) after the splash screen with Android and after all is black, the system does not start.
Of course I put the paper clip in reset hole many and many times, but always nothing on my screen
Are there solutions? Or is it definitively bricked?

SOLVED!!!
The problem was power!
I connected my mk808 only on pc-usb, probably it need more power, thus I connected also plug in power on miniusb all was been ok!

checked mine with "Network signal info" its a free app in playstore

but there is a great difference between shown by "Network signal info" and shown by my Router.
"Network signal info" told me connected with 65MBit @70% Signalstrength, my Router told me connected with 39MBit.
Same with UG802 "Network signal info" told me connected with 150MBit @82% Signalstrength, my Router told me connected with 81MBit.
