Hmm...I had that problem on my 4311 of the network being 'saved' until I changed to WPA2 ONLY on the router for that particular device....dunno if you have that knowledge/option of doing that but it worked for me.

Well, the Ad hoc network is the Barnacle app on my Samsung Admire and I can connect the internet to everything in this house through this phone except the Polaroid Tablet. It recognize the network in its listing of networks but won't connect. I want to try this patch for the wpa_supplicant that I downloaded. I couldn't find a selection to change WPA2 in Barnacle setting.

oh, I have the Evo 3D and I use the wifi tether app in the play store....I have it set to channel 6...

By the way-for those that have tried the live suite image for the 703C: I was thinking about creating a sticky thread listing the modded/custom ROM's I've created (and will create) for the various Polaroid devices. Do you guys feel the live suite image I posted restoring SU/root is sufficient to post as a 'stock ROM' with root/market or should I do some more work (which will require more testing on you folks)?

I have spent the last week looking for a way to get Google Play on this tablet until I finally found this thread and your rooted image. It worked great on the 2 tablets I picked up from Shopko.
I really didn't want to sign up for yet another forum, but this thanks was needed.

I'd just like to say that this works on the PTAB7XC. I just flashed it. It's rooted yet again.

Now I can look into putting other ROMs on this thing which weren't made for it. Cyanogen? Maybe. Who knows! Thanks for all of the hard work!

That's correct. It works just as the others did. I haven't gone through all of the hardware yet. But I can tell you it boots, and functions as the other ROM did. And I verified Root is there. I'm gonna get it on WiFi and try to download a few apps to toy with.
