      Sorry, which are they? I have tried from here http://amlinux.ru/image/ but the remote doesn't work.

            Is there hope that the OP posts the 6.0 version of Openelec? Is he disappeared?

              Minoccio if you're using the MXQ red stripe pictured a few pages back, the 6.0 found on post 1429 on page 96 works brilliantly for me. It has been somewhat lost by all the extra posts since then.

                Hi everyone,

                I'm facing an odd problem I can't solve for a week now; here's the issue: I have 2 Kodi devices:
                - 1 Raspberry Pi 2 running OSMC last version (quite similar to Openelec) with Kodi
                - 1 MK808B+ running OpenELEC 5.95.5.2

                I'm using my Synology DS213j NAS as my MySQL server and files server; here's the paste from the advancedsettings.xml config file I put on each device on /userdata folder (identical for both devices):
                Code:
                <advancedsettings>
                  <videodatabase>
                    <type>mysql</type>
                    <host>192.168.1.13</host> (my NAS and MySQL server)
                    <port>3306</port>
                    <user>kodi</user>
                    <pass>kodi</pass>
                  </videodatabase>
                  <musicdatabase>
                    <type>mysql</type>
                    <host>192.168.1.13</host>
                    <port>3306</port>
                    <user>kodi</user>
                    <pass>kodi</pass>
                  </musicdatabase>
                  <videolibrary>
                    <importwatchedstate>true</importwatchedstate>
                    <importresumepoint>true</importresumepoint>
                  </videolibrary>
                </advancedsettings>
                everything's working perfectly with my Pi2 ("Movies" AND "Tv shows" can be browsed (I can see the cover art, fan art, resume, etc) and played on my TV over ethernet or Wifi network without any trouble)...
                ... but here's the thing about my MK808B+: "Movies" AND "TV shows" can be browsed, but I can only play the files on the "Movies" section; when I try to play any "Tv Shows" file Kodi tell me something like "can't play file because it should be missing. Do you want to remove the file from library?"...

                I really can't understand why I get this issue... Both Pi2 OSMC and MK808B+ Openelec are exactly configured the same way...

                Anyone?
                (and sorry for my bad english... I'm just...french! )

                EDIT: auto-solved! The sources.xml and passwords.xml files weren't similar; copy/paste and voila!

                    Edit: I recently rebased on top of upstream again, and missed a libamcodec update that added proper hevc support. Master (OE 7 dev) had updated, which is what I rebased on first, which is how I missed it.

                    I just cherry-picked the update, and it will be present in the next build.

                    Edit2: Updated OE 6.0 builds:

                    Source: https://github.com/RealJohnGalt/Open...e/personal-6.0
                    Changelog:
                    • working HEVC/x265
                    • reverted optimized ext4 mount flags (may fix running from sd card).
                    • kernel patch for correcting the 23.976hz pixel clock.

                    MXQ sdcard image (for fresh installs, see http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/HO...e_Disk_Image): http://d-h.st/fvH5

                    HD18q builds are untested, I do not have a HD18q to test.

                      Hello

                      I have a MXQ (with red stripe) and i am wondering which version of OPENELEC 6.0 with KODI 15.2 is better TheRealJohnGalt or the one from the Russians (http://amlinux.ru/image/) ?

                      Also why the original author of this post doesn't update the post to support also the new version of OPENELEC 6.0 and stucked to the beta 5.95.5.2?

                      Thank you

                        No one.
                        The kszaq is the best I think.

                          From my understanding kszaq has a family like all of us. He just like us is enjoying them. He will be back when he finds the time to update his builds.

                            I wounder if we will ever get hardware acceleration for S805. I'm running openELEC 5.95.5.2 on a OTT MXQ. I can tell there is no hardware acceleration being used, often glitches in screen transitions and scrolling through menus is fast but glitchy at the same time. I'm willing to bet a MX2 would run better, and that is a dual core cpu. Anyway what else struck me was the video and audio quailty. Being used to Android on this box for months i went to openELEC because Android was lagging bad, lack of ram etc. I would have to put 2 boxes side by side to compare but i'm not convinced openELEC has the same quality when it comes to AV.

                              K has never claimed to be a pro coder and has done a pretty good job but I think many of us, with the all black MXQ, are hoping that CodeSnake will get around to doing a build although his MXQ is currently bricked! For the price the MXQ is great but i'm sure it could be improved softwarewise. At the mo i'm happy but it would be nice to get the wifi sorted, using a ethernet dongle at the mo, and as said it could run better and needs the 29p frame rate sorted and the x265 tweaked.

                              For the record the TVaddons configure wizard for Linux improves performance.

                              EDIT: Pretty sure hardware acceleration is utilised in K's build but the newer Beta Kodi, Jarvis, is using the surface codac which seems better. We'll just have to wait and see if CS or K get time to do a build.

                                Wifi working fine on my OTT MXQ, I would unbrick Codesnakes box for free if he wants to send it me. HEVC clip i have played seemed fine. I'm using OpenELEC-Amlogic.HD18Q.arm-5.95.5.2-update, kszaq's build. Do you know if the Odroid-C1 S805 firmware can work on OTT boxs?
