Is 2.8.5.0 version instead of 2.8.5.1, right?
Last number in version is to mark specific model changes, both are 2.8.5.
Maybe next official will be 2.8.5.2 to mark this little update.

        Thank you for the info.

Is it possible to change the red screen to a black screen (while waiting for the TWRP boot screen)? Looks better in my opinion.

I have an MX3 2GB box and I can't for the life of my get this recovery to install. I've tried to install it via the app. I have root, I start the app and patch the SD card. Then I go to install TWRP, select the device namewhich is Amlogic K200, under Recovery installed it says there's no custom recovery. When I go to Recovery Version to install I get a black screen with what should be a menu/list but all I get is a header that says 'Choose version to install' with nothing below it. When I go to Install it takes me to a webpage stays there for a couple of seconds then switches to another page with 'File doesn't exist' on the screen.

I've tried downloading the unofficial image, zipping it and putting it on a TF and flashing it but that too gave me problems. Here's what I did: Downloaded the k200.img, zipped it with 7zip so it was called k200.zip placed it in the root of my TF card and booted into stock recovery. Went to Update from EXT, go to the sdcard and select the k200.zip file and this is the error message that I get:

Any help would to what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated it.

thanks that actually got it to flash properly. Version 2.8.5.1 gives me a solid blue screen hat wont go away but 2.8.5 gets me into recovery but it doesnt seem to fit everything on the screen as in the following picture:

All seems to work as it should. Sometimes when booting to recovery you may get that screen or similar, just wait around 3 seconds that the TWRP curtain will show.

Until it's mergeded use this one.

I'm guessing this post was targeted at me? If so how would I manually flash that .img? rashr just had a tab on the screen that allowed me to flash an .img file it downloaded itself.

Rename to recovery.img, place on root of SDcard and boot the device while pressing the reset button.
Test image, if everything is OK , goto install menu, press images and select the recovery.img

Many thanks, it fixed itself, but it would only boot into recovery every 1 out of 5-6 tries. I got the resolution working fine and flashed your latest version and now it boots up every time after 3-4 sec of red on the screen. Thank you.

                          @abdul_pt
I just tried out your new build for the K200 (M82 1G/8G MXIII), and so far its been working beautifully!
I was able to make a backup of my Device. I just have to test out the Recovery again at some point. Right now the System is working... More or less fine, and I'm loath to upset the Apple Cart where Google Music is concerned. e.g. Needlessly playing with ROMs again. I will likely play with this enough, once the 113k4 (SD Card Version) hits.
If its as bad as the current 113k4 *.img File is... I'll likely just revert down to 109k4 again. At which point I'll start to call up these Backups for 112k4 / 113k4 again. If only to double check that it really wasn't just my imagination, and 109k4 really was faster Ethernet wise then such Firmwares from 110k4 onward...

The only thing that would seal the deal for me would be if you could add IR Remote to this.
I don't have a problem grabbing a Mouse to deal with this. Its hardly like I'll need to get in there on a daily basis.
But, it would be a lot simpler to just get at it with the Stock Remote.

                              Download this File: http://www.freak-tab.de/abdul_pt/aml/k200.img

Now you have the k200.img File, the only thing you need to do with it is to click on it, (NOT A DOUBLE CLICK, just a click, and press the "F2" key) and rename it recovery.img

Then place that File onto a freshly FAT32 formatted MicroSD Card, then insert said MicroSD Card back into your "Device". Where you'll enter the Recovery Mode like normal. As mentioned elsewhere you might see a Red Screen for about a Second or Two before TWRP actually loads up.

BTW: HAVE A USB MOUSE READY ON STANDBY. As TWRP will NOT work with your Remote!

The first thing you should do before anything else is to try, and make a backup of your "Device". (Having read your other Posts.. Kinda pointless I suppose), to test TWRP out. Which is not really as important as it once was as the above Version is known to work on K200 M82 MBX MBOX's (i.e. 1G/8G Devices).

But, as always with such things caution is the watchword of the Day!

Should you be happy with the way TWRP is working... And I think even with the forced USB Mouse... You will be, you can install it permanently by going to install, and pointing it toward the MicroSD.. (IIRC ExternalSD (It should / would likely be the largest Number!). Click the "Images" (Lower Right Hand Side...), and then on the recovery.img. The rest should be simple enough to work out.

Now you have finally replaced the 3e Recovery with TWRP.

Has anyone tried it with Bellink S82 Plus (Amlogic S812, AP6335)?
