Help please....Didn't erase IBD whatever that means??
Hi all
I am a new forum member so please be gentle with me!!
I have 'flashed the ROM' to my new tablet but failed to click Erase IBD as per instruction No 5, a senior moment!
Do I need to do anything to correct this?
I was very chuffed that I even attempted this
but with such good instructions & positive follow up I thought I would do it, not bad for a silver (female) surfer! And I didn't 'brick' it, yet another new term I have learned, means something totally different in the UK.
Thank you Mr Finless for providing this ROM
Joy x

Installing Drivers!
Carrowniskey
Thanks for the remote connection earlier
What I did notice was that when your tablet was plugged in, it showed up in the wrong place of device manager due to having it connected to a hub.
Like we discussed, Put your device into recovery mode, plug your tablet into the USB ports from the motherboard on your PC. When you do this and open up device manager you should notice that this now shows up under UNKNOWN DEVICES. Open device manager and find the device there. Update driver and direct it to the firmware folder/drivers/32bit/win7 and now hopefully this should install the drivers properly.
Fingers Crossed and let us know how you get onPlease consider donating to purchase tablets for Finless Bob to continue his work. This will help in the creation of custom roms and build an even stronger development base for our community. Thank you for you support!

Not sure if it will help in your case but it might. Definitely plug your tablet straight into your laptop and not a hub when you try, which I believe you have already tried.

Nothing was removed.
App space or even /system is not in RAM it is in NAND memory.
Nand memory holds all disk drives
/system
/storage
/data (where apps go)
etc
By changing the userdata space value in the parameter file we can go to a max of 1gb for /data (all the kernel will allow). So this took away some of the /storage space from NAND.
Why Arnova limited /data to only 255MB in stock ROM I do not know. I think they just used a parameter file from some other ROM that has limited NAND memory. Stupid if you ask me

urm one question i need to do this
a) Again using a file manager that has root access go in and delete the follow folders from the /data/data directory.
com.android.vending (not com.applib.vending!)
com.android.vending.updater
com.google.android.gm
com.google.android.gsf
where do i get the file manager to do it?
thanks Bob
