Did you click first one erase....
And then on run.
I now from my android phone if you could in recovery mode than its not bricked.

yes I did.

No problem on 1st erase.

But then failed on update.

And now every erase or update fails. Even power button doesn't do anything. Screen just stays blank. No bootup screen.

The flash tool says "Found device" at the bottom? If it says "No device found" then you are not in flash (recovery) mode. But, you should always be able to unbrick unless there is a problem with the Tablet.

Only exception is a friend of mine had a 10 G2 that failed. When you clicked eraseIDB it would not format the full 2048 space and stop at like 1568 or something. He had a bad FLASH memory chip and had to send the Tablet back in for repair. So if you have "Found device" in the tool and you click eraseIDB make sure on the right status panel it shows it formatted the full 2048 space.

And again please more info on where in the process it is failing and what messages your getting. Just saying it fails doesnt help a lot. We need to know where and what is failing.

So, after a bad update, i can not even power it on. I think it is bad. It is recognized in recovery mode by the update tool. But nothing can be done without failed result.The only idea I have is getting it replaced. Any better idea?

OK so wait. The flash tools at the bottom does say "Found RK Android Device"??? Correct?

So you click eraseIDB then what happens? What is the error ?

FYI when your bricked it may look like it is off because the screen stays black. This does not mean you cannot press the reset button hole and volume up and get back into flash mode!!! It is still alive if the flash tool says "Found RKAndroid device".

Sorry had to migrate back to our primary server I have been working on for the last 3 days. That is why I turned off the site and put up a message 30 minutes before I migrated. You must have been working on that post a long while, sorry.

Can you tell any speed difference now over the BU server we were on?

So I will try to stay calm and explain my best.I did the whole procedure. The erase IDP went ok. Then I tried to flash and it only told it FAILED, in red, at the right of the screen. And now I can do nothing with my tablet except go into recovery mode and fail again and again with the update tool. Do you want logs? Or do you have any clue?

I am not angry, no offense taken. I am angry with myself, that I am a shitty enough server admin to allow us to get hacked and need to reload everything, that was my fault. Sorry you lost your post.

To me it sounds like a NAND problem if you cannot flash back to stock either but not sure, the Android Guru's will have to help you on that. I am trying to get up to speed on Android OS but as you know it takes time. Good luck getting it solved, I am sure Bob or someone who is an expert will chime in soon.

Try rebooting your PC, or try another PC. Something may be interrupting the flash like other USB devices or something? Again the only time I have seen that happen was a bad EEPROM chip and the unit had to go back but make sure it is not something simple. Make sure your not going through a USB hub, all other USB devices disconnected? something like that. Again reboot too as something could be hung up with USB system

I dont know if this has any relevance to you but people have reported problems when tablet is plugged into USB 3 ports.

Just trying to throw some ideas your way.

Another idea. On my Mother Board for my PC is a BIOS setting for USB High Speed. I think that was a sudo USB 3.0 implementation at that time. Anyway if that is on, many USB devices I have don't work right especially older stuff. So you might try setting the BIOS to USB 2.0 only or legacy or whatever you have that is can be set to and try. Just an idea.
