Thanks for the reply.
So, next move for me : try on my netbook again with a fresh start.
If it doesn't work, i'll try the linux tools on arctablet wiki.
And if nothing of those work, return my tablet for an exchange.
Does anyone know what I should tell to not break the warranty? Do you think this version will be ok :
With an angel face : "I got errors, so I tried to flash official firmware, but it went wrong and nothing works anymore"

That is exactly what you say, they have no way of proving otherwise and how is a shop going to check seriously. Yes do that you will have no problem I bet not won't have any problem :thumbup:

I'll try to get a new ARNOVA. And I hope to have a 1.4 rom to try then . Thanks again for helping. Hope to be back soon.

3g stick

The 3G stick support in the Arnova ROM right now is only for the 3G stick Arnova sells.

If someone can point me in the right direction on what to get to add to the ROM, I can try to do that. I am not a kernel guy so recompiling kernels is not somehting I know how to do right now.

So, today I got my ARCONA exchanged.
Got a brand new one. Just unboxed it and powered it on to check everything was fine.

But now I'm a little afraid to brick it again if I try to flash it again.

On the other hand, as it failed exactly the same on my 2 PCs, it seems to me like a hardware problem with the old tablet.

Is there any way to check before I actually try to flash the new one, if a problem is detected?

It is primarily designed for the archos G9, but as said on the ARNOVA 10 G2 page :

Don't be affraid you had a bad tablet .
I flashed mine about 6 times and everything ok. Also my dads tablet.
I use a netbook from samsung.

It is quite a rare occurrence what happened to you it must of been very fustrating for you wondering what the hell was happening. Really glad it all worked out for you!

FYI Tell Jim at Arctablet to "not" say he does not support my ROM. He does this because of our requirement here to have an account before you download. How is that different than almost any site out there? We do it because it's to stop SPAMMERS, BOT attacks, rip off sites etc, etc. We have to do that! It's like no choice.!!!

Anyway I understand your ask. It's like... WHY NOT SHARE and make 1 ROM that has all the best. I am game! Why not ask Acrtablet why they are not game? He will take my ROM.... RIP everything out of it thats mine, and call it Kasty ROM? I will be honest here... My opinion.... Site advertising is driving that person NOTHING ELSE.... Oh... other than getting free tablets from Archos and Arnova to do what I think are LAME review videos!

so the arctablet site gets revenue from ads and freebies from archos ? dare i suggest he puts this towards paying for some decent hosting for his site , because page loads on there are as slow as a week in the jail, and occasionally it just 404 errors,and its very unprofessional looking a LOT of hyperlinks do nothing except refresh the page, which is frustrating. I too took an evening out of my time to make an IRC channel for arctablet as i was asked, lo and behold afterdoing this , i hear nothing from arctablet no links to the IRC channel nuthin , i understand he is a "busy" man but treating the community members (not to mention finless) in this way is just wrong. <rant over>

No need to knock the other site. It is based on Wordpress, and it is mostly not an English site as Archos is a Paris-based company. Wordpress is not as robust a platform as what is used here, which is like xda, and android forums, and many other tapatalk compliant sites.
