Huh? Please elaborate? I provided 2.08 in the 10 G2 ROM kit. Why does it have to be deleted?

You need to have your tablet plugged in for the rk29update program to work.

You yourself do not physically remove any file, the program does all the work for you you.

          Start the RK29UPDATE Program

Plug in your tablet to your Pc, and put it into recovery mode, by placing a paper clip or pin into the reset buttom on the side of the device and at the same time hold the volume up button, remove the paperclip after a few seconds, than release the volume button.

Now the program should say RK ANDROID FOUND, now you press the Erase IDB, wait a while for that to complete than click RUN.

This will flash your tablet with the firmware, just leave it for 5 minutes to flash you will see some writing come up on your tablet, let it finish and it will reboot.

Great job to all and I will let you know of any problems or issues, however if all goes as well as it has so far I should be a memory. Arnova 10g2 4gb Custom Rom - installed perfectly

                Hi Guys
As a new member of this forum and as a 2 day owner of an Arnova 10g2 4gb, I was initially apprehensive about installing a Custom Rom. I was even more nervous when I noticed on one of the adjacent forums that there were problems when installing a Custom Rom on an "8g2 4gb" and I wondered whether there were general problems for a 4gb machine. However I decided to go for it anyway and printed off your guide and went for it.
It was so easy when following your guide and the only thing I additionally needed as re-assurance was another short guide which I found which gave a bit more detail on installing the drivers for the RK29update.exe. By the way, when running the RK29update.exe, I did tick the option for the loader 2.08.
Other than that, everything went like a dream, and 15 minutes later was all done and everything runs perfectly.
Many thanks and I look forward to even more customisation in due course.

                sfootboy

                    finless v1.3 sd card problem

                    hey

my sd card is function properly
but when my tablet is not function (sleep with screen off)
then about every 10 minutes the screen pops up and in the taskbar there is a message the sd card is unspectly removed.
but then media scan is compleet without errors.
is this a bug or is it the sd card.
                    sorry for my poor english
if you love my work please buy a coffee

Snakekiller, this is a common problem with the Arnova line. Even stock ROM has this issue. We found that turning off location services and USB debugging tends to help that from happening less.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT... Some apps that you install also cause this... I notice a stock install with no "tweak apps" installed, it does not do this. So check your apps, one of them could be causing this. Apps that use the SDCard for storage tend to make this happen.

Hey guys I have a little hiccup! I have been usuing Dolphinhd and all was working well until today. When browsing I would get to the site and it would jump back to the home screen. I tried different sites and the same thing happens. I uninstalled Dolphin and installed firefox then tried again and it worked for a short time and then froze up and had to be booted! Any ideas? Also several items are showing grey pics with the message an add on is needed, any ideas? I also just uninstalled flash 11.0 and reinstalled 10.3 to see if that would help Thanks

It definitely sounds like a flash problem, go into your settings/privacy and do a factory reset, this will restore it back but you will lose
Everything you have installed, but you will still have
The custom firmware on your tablet. Stay well clear of flash 11,0and install flash 10.3 . This should cure your problem. It might be an idea to find the folders on your memory card relating to dolphin and Firefox and delete them before you start.

ALso make sure you close dolphin and get the prompt to close! I find setting to clear the cache on close clears problems without having to reinstall.
Another thing you can do is go into manage apps, click on Dolphin, and clear data.
