Guys, please check that your SDcard is not corrupted. It can cause many issues like this!

Read this about WHY RK3066 have problems with SDard corruption. It is VERY common:

    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ard-Corruption!

And this on how to fix a corrupted SDcard:

    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...Understand-WHY!

Let me know if this resolves the issue. I have yet to have this problem you are talking about bucause I have made my SDcard NTFS now.

"Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
"Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
"Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
"Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

      i need advice
      i flash with
      kernel_720_CPU1272_GPU466_RAM1120.img
      everyting ok
except sound, i hear bad sound even on youtube or stream audio app. I read in this topic that people buy new hdmi cable and problems are gone, but i need use hdmi adapter with cable and maybe that adapter (male female) is problem, anyway i can't experiment more with hdmi cables so my questions are...
do i need flash again with ics 720 or does i wait some patch or fix for sound problem in very near future ? or this patch or fix like 2dark4u write in one post will mean that i will must flash my rom again. if i must flash it again, than i will flash it with default 720 right now, i don't want to wait

this is great i love the new mouse courser its more accurate and precise

I'm using the 1080p kernel with no overclock for any ug802 and after a while of have use on it, it restarts the system. is this because it still needs a heatsink?

More likely needs higher amperage. Stock PS is cr*p, no doubts about that. My same problem got "solved on its own", because the USB HUB that has own PS increase overall amperage in the device, making it stable to run.
In my opinion almost in every cases, people aren't able to get 1080p version running with stock PS.
          Required >2A

I bought a new hdmi cable (quite expensive) and my sound problems still persists, so nothing resolved with a new cable. When I experimented with underclocking the sound was ok for a while and then the same problems. I think this has to be a bad power source. Also in the dmesg log it seems that audio is being initialized in a loop (continuosly rk30-hdmi: PLAY_BACK). I'm waiting for a new power source, it will be shipped on friday so I let you know what happen...

Great work on this ROM it is awesome! Mine is flashed with the 720@1200 and I did have an issue where it seemed like the audio was bad on my Sony HDTV as some others have stated. The sound was that of blaring tinny small speakers. I tried several combinations of cables and direct connection but the problem persisted. However after switching it to a different television and computer monitor the problem was isolated to the first tv only and sounded perfect on the others. So if you are having problems with audio try switching to a different tv/monitor to see if it persists. I ended up just using a c media usb audio card when connected to the problem TV. Thanks for the great ROM!

I use my ipad charger and it works perfectly. You can assume its at least a decent PS and it supplies 2 amps at 5v.

                    Dear Finless and Alex,

Thanks for the rom it is great. I upgraded from the original and the difference is from night and day. The power issue was solved using a powered usb hub. The only thing that is buffling me is that when i use the media server thing installed, and i play from network (btw it plays everything fine) if i press back the system restarts. in any other case or program it does not. So basically playing something through network using the installed media server thing and presing back it restarts the system. I am using 1080p normal speed. i expereince no artifacts or anything sismilar. the wifi ranmge is crap btw, but i use the powerline network and works fine.

Thanks again and if that can be fixed it would be maximum

His motiviation is he wants something (a custom PC resolution that HDMI does not support) and because he cant get it, he is trying to "strong arm" 2dark4u demanding he gives up his work!

                          Hi,

with all due respect I don't want to press this matter as most likely I won't use the kernel source either, but I think it is important to understand one thing: open source development != giving up Your work. The Linux kernel is published under GPL meaning if You modify the sources and create a derivative work from it You should make Your modifications publicly available (it can be that You send it over in e-mail if requested, publish it on the web, whatever). That's why we can ask the Chinese manufacturers to publish their modified kernels and that's why they should do it too (and probably they think as well, that they don't want to give up their work).

If You did not modify the sources, then naturally it is enough to refer to the already available sources of the source. If You create separate libraries it has different rules again. I think the base of the whole source request was 2dark4u's statement, that he modified 5000 lines in the kernel source. This might as well be a misunderstanding.

Anyhow there is one more important aspect of this question (if the whole thing is not based on a misunderstanding, as said above), that if anyone would like to help with the kernel development currently (s)he should start from scratch, and most likely redo some of the work already done, what is not very efficient. However it's is up to You guys to decide if You a) modified the kernel or not and b) You want to publish Your modifications.

                          Regards

Read his post again - as he said there are cheap solutions for Audio problems. I am using USB sound card that cost approx 2$ (stereo output), there are also USB sound cards that support 5.1 or 7.1 output (around 15$). (I got myself a box of 20x stereo usb sound cards, because it cost only 20$ with free shipping = insane! )

the only problem here is that bob and 2dark HAVE put up links here to the source code. it just isn't bundles with teh rom itself, which NOONE does. look at some other roms, uberoid, cyanogenmod, etc. none of them bundle their source code with the rom download. the sources are simply available seperately.

hell even most linux distributions don't have the source code bundled with the download iso. but they are available form the particular distro's site.
