You might be OK flashing system but if versions of system apks differ you may find that this causes issues. In general I don't reccomend it. Also even though both have 2 gig for apps it doesent follow that parameters are identical.

Quick overview of rk img files

kernel.img	The kernel. This kernel will be used on boot if the recovery.img or boot.img being booted does not contain an embedded kernel
recovery.img	the recovery system loaded when booting to recovery. This image may contain and embeded kernel
boot.img	the boot system loaded on a normal boot. Mounts file systsems, starts processes and loades drives as specified in init.rc
misc.img	basicall used as a communication system between boots. On normal flash of a ROM this is set to load recovery and deal with formatting and setting partitions. Other messages can be that the next boot is to recovery or boot loader
system.img	the system filesystem.

Noproblems with you creating a CWM.zip. Please post it on FreakTab. As usual I'd expect both myself and feaktab to be credited.

Really enjoying my CUBE the community seems rather fragmented tho... keen to get Mali sources from Siyah galaxy s3 sources Incorporated into Edison sources now THAT would be killer! Hi there,

I had a quick test/play last night.

I reflashed to your 1.10 ROM and had SD card issues. Either it wouldn't see the card, or it would but hang with anything using it.

I also experienced Wifi issues on boot, where wifi would not turn on at times (I tried several reboots but go joy). As soon as I took the SD card out and rebooted the wifi work! All I can think is the device/mount if preventing the wifi from being loaded recognised??

I then flashed back to Kusty's ROM and everything seems to work fine.

Clearly the issue is with the sdcard handling by the cube. It sounds to me as though a fix is available for this and has been applied to that ROm. I'll be researching this. Thanks

I have not tried the ROM, but Boat browser works for me in other ROMs. Just remember to set the flash to be enabled always.

I can't select flash player in the latest dolphin browser as it says it will crash the browser and won't let you do it. All hope is not lost as the "Browser" browser plays flash without having to do anything.

Trouble with SD Card

Hello,

I am having some trouble with external sd card: each time I insert the sd card in the tablet it results in erasing the internal memory: all is wiped out except these folders LOST.DIR, .dataviz and Android.

Is this due to the firmware or is it a corruption of my sd card?
My card has been reformatted several times and works perfectly on every other devices!

I think Chrome does not support flash on Jellybean (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Trouble with SD Card

For information, I own another RK3066 tablet: 7" ICOO D70PRO; My SD 32Gb works perfectly with it, never had any problem. I decided to switch card : start using my 32Gb in the CUBE and the 8Gb in the ICOO, that's when I discovered that the 32Gb SD didn't work with the CUBE and wiped the internal memory as well!
In the other hand, the ICOO works as well with the 8Gb as with the 32Gb.

Is there a problem with CUBE tablets ans SD cards?

The cube and most of the rk3066 have had issues with sdcards if they are formatted fat32. I've always used ntfs for my sdcard and have no issues.

Yes. I tried two different PCs but I could not format into NTFS

I've had a few issues with the WiFi and also the SD card seemed corrupted but after a reboot a few times it seem to straighten out...(WiFi, i did the advance feature to keep it on..)

I see JB 4.2 is out, can this tablet be upgraded to it? when? or that's a US Deficit question?
