Hey Super (may i call you Super ^^)

thanks for your rom.

Im unable to flash the right way you rom or any rom with recovery in fact.

Each time I flash the rom, the tab boot in recovery mod with a list of error "E: cant mount/cache; E: cant mount data".

I find a way to flash your rom without recovery using your flash prog.

I just kept checked in flash prog: system, boot, kernel and parameter. In that way the rom is flashed correctly

If i try to add misc the rom tab wont boot; if i try to add recovery after same problem and if i try to flash whole rom i have the recovery loop with "e:/cant mount" error.

If some one have idea about it; anyway i can use your rom ant thats the most improtant

Youtube buffering

I have youtube problems (after 1-1.5min playing had buffering forever until I switch to another app and back again) after installing this rom
I came from supersport 1.1c which has solved that error already.

Weird Battery Behavior

This rom is the most stable for me and have not hang on me from flashing it, the only problem is the battery behavior, the battery life is still long and fine but it behaves weird for me.

When fully charged it stays in 100 for about 5 mins, drops a little fast up to 65+ and slowly go down to 55+ and stays there for a long time and drops slowly but in a accelerating fashion. I tried calibrating it but it is still the same behavior. I try Flashing stock 1.07 and it is the most proper battery behavior for me.

flashed this rom back because this has the best stability for my tab.

I dont think the Roms are in charge for the battery behaviour.
I think its more that faulty double battery design of cube. The two batterys just dont behave as one.
I've seen your reported behaviour on any Rom i've tried. Sometimes it seemed To be gone but then came up just likebefore.

Simple instructions

Is there a simple breakdown of what we are supposed to do when using your instructions??

InstructionsDownload and extract to a folder (On PC or Tablet ?)

connect the tab to the PC (you did remove the sdcard)

start the ROM flash tool (is that within the folder you extracted?)

put the tab into flash mode, the PC should detect it (how?, is that the Vol+ and Pwr i read about)

erase idb (where is this)

flash (I imagine a button select?)

the tab should boot to recovery (this will take a few minutes)

select reboot

the tab should now boot

first boot will probably complain about the nand simply select and format

My U30GT was supplied with 1.06 yesterday, when are they going to start putting up to date firmware on the tabs they are shipping out.

Answered inline above. Download, extract and west the tool, it's quite straight forwards.

Thanks for the fast reply, thought it must be relatively easy, just needed to check.

Although the way that my battery is looking I may just return it.

Charged it to 99%, shut it down, restarted and says insert charger and reads 1%.

Not sure what is taking a few hours to charge if it is flat as soon as shut down, maybe a capacitor.

Battery is looking decidedly knackered.

The supplied power supplies are of very low quality and frequently cause this sort of issue.

I had seen mention of the glitchy touch screen with normal PSU, mine does not suffer with that.

I have checked volatge with DVM and it is putting out 12V ok and checking now and again the battery charge percentage is going up, so seems to be working.
Dropping charge quick is usually a battery issue.

I have a new PSU on the way (not a Cube one) and have a 12V 1A, I can try tomorrow to see if any better.

Not even sure what type of Lithium Batteries these use as normal LithiumPolymer or Ion are 3.7V per cell nominal (max 4.2), this tablet has 2 cells I believe so why need 12v to charge them I dont know, when 9v would do.

I use Lithium Polymer (Lipo's) in all my RC models (up to 35 amps) so know about charging etc.

They're the same lipo cells. I would expect that they would charge at less than 12 volts. I had problems with the stock PSU on mine, replaces with an alternate and no problems since. Brought the PSU in desperation with no expectation of it solving my issues, saved me sending it back to china.

if you have a steady 10 to 12 volt 2 amp supply with the correct polarity you should be ok to use it.

Gone a bit off topic here but what the Hell.

Just checked after switching completely off at 60%, left for 2 hours and it is flat, wont switch on without PSU and that starts at 1% again.

I think Battery is toast, not sure why Battery percentage goes up when on charge.
Will contact UK seller about return/replacement.

Tried a different PSU, exhibits same issue.

In fact the tablet just dies as soon as you remove external power.

UK seller will replace in a few days when special deliveries resume.

Have downloaded your Rom ready for the replacement as that will no doubt still have 1.06 on it

Found on Cube site that batteries are 2 X 3600mAh in series so why seller adverts quote 8000mAh, totally misleading unless they are in parallel and even then it would be 7200.

Youtube buffering

I still experience the Youtube buffering issues. HD videos seem to affect it more, but I can't prove this. I am using the 900supersport 1.1 ROM and it is a lot better than the factory default in this area (the factory default runs into the buffering issue at the 50-70 second mark, the supersport ROM does it at 4-5 minute mark, so a lot better). Do you guys have any idea for a workaround? What could cause this issue?
