Recovery with ROM dump

I'm not sure what's going on with that. I'm fixing that as soon as I get back to the ROM.

The icon shows a happy face for Google Play Store on the screen shot.

Actually I think that is not your fault!

He maybe installed a APP that patches APPs to crack them. I have seen this before and I know what that APP is with the smiley face! This is probably what he has done as he is cracking APPs using that. We cannot condone that!

So lets make sure that's what it is and if so, we need to remove those screen shots.

Screech, if you are using that well known APP..... SHAME ON YOU especially using it and giving Randy a hard time when it's your fault. If you are not using that APP, sorry. But come clean and do not make Randy chase crap like that if your using it!

i have give my tablet to a friend (not very friend) to use it when out of home and ONLY AFTER i have make a romdum ... i have see the C***ED APP ! but now it is in romdump and only after the restoration of ROM, I realized that it was within ...it's my fault that I have not noticed before ...
Forgive me but I have not noticed ... I used if I would have told before, or at least I would have taken away!

No problem, an honest mistake.

I'll be injecting the proper files shortly and re-post the ROM kit with an update. I'll delete all of the old ROM's from the server, so as not to inadvertently spread the questionable content.

Still no luck on the CWM...I'll also look more into that.

OK, Screech...here you go.

I downloaded a whole new set of Google Apps for 4.1.1 and copied them into the system/app folder.

Hopefully they will work.

I also included the new parameter files into the ROM kit for you. I'm still awaiting on some help for CWM.

Root, Ext4 file system, init.id support, 2gb app space, CWM Recovery

Hi I'm new to this forum and I followed with great interest this thread and how you solved screech's problems. I read a lot of threads because of a problem I encountered.

At the moment I have the same problem. I bought an Archos tablet which started to boot loop after having edited some system settings.

Luckily I have 2 models of this tablet and I have been able to make a dump with romdump. So far I collected all the files extracted but I don't really know how to recover my broken tablet. I have boot.img, recovery.img and, apart from other files, system.tar which is unflashable with rkflashtool.

How can I create a flashable system.img to use with rkflashtool or, better, create an update.img containing the whole rom dump to be used with rkbatchtool?

Normally you can dump kernel system boot recovery.
What kind of Tablet you are have?
Can you upload your dump files that I can download them and make a flash able rom?

well I would not like to bother you by wasting your time for me

My tablet is an Archos Platinum 97b HD, I was also thinking to make single imgs from the working tablet using rkflashtool r/w commands but I have some difficulties because, when I used /proc/cmdline to get the partition table, I got offset and erasesize instead of the single partitions' sizes, so I wouldn't like to flash the images wrongly and exceed the allocated space on the rom...

At the moment I'm at work so I don't have my pc. Later I'll post all the infos and the rom dump
