Cmd won't recognize the device so adb commands are useless, and since there is no system left, I can't use the terminal to get into the bootloader either.
the only things left in the device is boot.img and recovery, everything else got removed. (its missing system, kernel and a few other files)
Oh, and cmw recovery is still there.

      ROM Download link

      Hey guys,

I've tried to download the custom rom, but I'm just getting some xml code come up when clicking on the picture link. I've tried both in IE9 and Maxthon, both with similar results. Is the file unavailable for some reason?

      Thanks,
      Gareth

My tablet has developed a screen fault - does anyone have a link to the stock ROM so I can flash it before I return it?
            Thanks

EDIT - found it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ghlight=cobalt

              Hi,

I renamed the bootanimation.zip which changes part of the logo but your robot still pops up at the start.

Is there any way to change this as it's a work tablet and I need it to look default if possible.

Thanks for your hard work on the rom

I don't understand why you get so upset about this, you did the same to the other guy that asked about it.

I followed what supersport said about renaming the folder and it didn't work for me. I understand him signing his work, not a problem. I of course appreciate the work he does to do this for us as well for free. It's just for work purposes it would be better to say "Archos" and look default.

This is a forum, a community... a place for people to help each other. It took you more time to write a silly "face palm, I won't go there!" classic internet meme than to actually be helpful.

If anybody could help me on the subject, I'd greatly appreciate it.

                  Thanks

You would be surprised at how much criticism we get for boot screens. It's become a bit of an in joke with Bob and myself.

If you want to change them then you will need to flash the stock kernel, I think I may have posted this or get it from xda. You will also need to unpack boot.IMG and remove/replace initlogo.role then repack. See the rock chip hacks thread for this.

Will you be doing a custom ROM for the Archos 80 Titanium? It has the same specs as the Cobalt except for the IPS screen (same resolution) and the HDMI port.

New firmware for Archos Cobalt 80 is now out on the Archos website, people say it's JB. Maybe it's time for an update for Supersport ROM?
