    MK808B clone power supply

One more thing about power adapter that was included with my MK808b clone. It's a bad thing. I replaced it with usb hub power adapter on 5V 2.0A (originally it was 1.5A which is obviously insufficient) and it started to work more stable (no sudden rebooting, no shutdowns) and I get rid of that sound of stock power adaper (it was just like hearing dolphins conversations )

Excuse my intrusion, I have the same problem: I can't find any overclockable kernel for my stick, it is a Mk808b with chipset MT6622N and MediaTek MT5931SA, and Toshiba memory. May I ask you to make the same for me (Overclockable kernel and 1080p)?

    My kernel is

Hi Griser. Wireless working. "XBMC Beyond 3.4" installed.

Now watching a standard def video from my samba share, playing nicely :-)

I flashed the 720p kernal. I dare not try a HD video in case the mk808b goes into melt down! Can you explain some more how you modded the device to stay cooler?

    Many thanks and great job

So, there is the archive with several kernels and boots images. Those are stock ones with 720 and patched 1080 resolutions, also images with unlocked CPU (1608Mhz) and overclocked to 533Mhz DDR.
Also I tried to overclock GPU but it seems not to be locked, cause I didn't get any profit from that (tried all sorts of advice such as modifing init.rc and etc - no use).

    About resolution:
I use my MK808b on LG AH-IPS 23' monitor, it has native resolution 1920x1080, and I thought that using lower resolution will make picture blurry, but it appeared that when after loading 720 resolution ROM and switching to 1080 in android screen settings, as it uses same pixel density (160dpi if I'm not mistaken), picture looks clear without any blurring effects. There are some advantages in such resolution - picture looks larger (if you use it as a TV and you're sitting quite far from it) and it's works faster than 1080 res ROM. The only serious disadvantage as for me is getting lower quality picture from youtube videos, I don't know why that is but I noticed that fact.
So using 1080 resolution is reasonable only if you're using your device for internet surfing and sitting near from monitor or if your monitor is quire large, but I would find more powerful device for that.

So you can download zipped set of ROMs here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oe4ksdc68g...210_griser.zip
Unzip wherever you want and run any of bat files you find in root directory of the archive. You'll get ROM_Flash_Tool with appropriate boot and kernel images.

Happy Easter and Got bless Ukraine!

If you haven't yet threw those piece of .. to rubbish bin as I intended to do, a little later I will post all data to get it working under Finless 2.1 with wi-fi and bluetooth active, playing video smoothly!
Moreover there will be overclocked versions of kernels runing cpu on 1608 and ram on 533, both for 720 and 1080 resolutions!

I will provide all necessary data with detailed instructions. It's will take some time.
