MK808B clones, how to identify them.

I need help to figure out my MK808B clone type

Never seen anything like this before. Just got from amazon.ca. Could anyone please tell me what version of clone mine is & which firmware to use?

Okay, that's not even a clone of the MK808. That's just some other stick. I even doubt that it is a RK3066 stick because i can't see the RK3066 chip on your pictures.
Because of this, i seriously doubt that you will get support for your stick here, sorry.

That's a MK808B clone? I have never seen a stick that looks anything like yours. Is that a male HDMI plug?
Can you please post a pic of the case too?

yes it has a male hdmi connection, one usb port and the OTG port. i bought it in singapore in march. it doesnt have blue tooth.

thanks for Phinc for pointing me to this thread, i have looked through all the pictures of the different sticks everybody has but i can't seem to see one like mine. so i will try and post some picture of it bare with me as it will be the first time i have posted pictures. ok that was easy hope i got it right.

For those of you that have the new found mk808b clone and have lost the original firmware, the supplier gave me the link to it.

I uploaded it to my device and it went back to normal. Wifi and BT are working

On stock everything streamed great via Plex direct play, I didn't try anything from USB though. Imito custom ROM was pretty laggy.

I'll be happy with rooted stock if I can get it to work.

Perhaps my stock rom was corrupt or something, someone on amazon reviews had problems with afunta, they say that they dont give out their roms to the competition, my guess is coz they ripped em off another rom. I might try plex to see if that is smooth if it is then the storage drivers might be bad.

Does your stick play video perfectly ?, I noticed mine drops the odd frame on just about all video from usb or sd card.

I would like to make a custom rom using the bt and wifi driver and maybe a finless rom if poss.

I still cant get cwm to work, I think its due to an incompatible recovery console. I wish never got a bloody clone lol.

Oops, my bad I assumed the OP was up to date.. Sorry for n00bish-ness. Going to try flash the stock 4.2 Rooted ROM for now. As look as it's rooted, runs smoothly, works with Plex & wifi/bluetooth works I'm happy. Only reason I flashed a ROM was due to it coming unrooted.

Imito mx1/2 Finless roms will at least give you working wifi.
