    Pipo U1 Pro RileyROM 1.0

Here is the link to the download section for the Pipo U1 RileyROM 1.0:

This is the first release of a ROM for the Pipo U1 tablet.

This new ROM is rooted with ext4 file system, init.d support, 2gb user app space.

Please look at the ReadMeFirst file for details.

I do not have an actual U1 tablet to test, however I used the M5 as a test platform, and the ROM works fine on it. Anyone with an U1 please test and provide feedback.

Thanks to: Tattman65 for art work, Snakekiller for UI Mods, Petrus for reboot app, and Finless/900Supersport/Neomode for lots of guidance.

If this is the first time you are flashing one of our ROM's, you may encounter some challenges in installing Windows drivers. Please download this First Time User Guide to help you throught he process:

I'd like to give it a shot tonight. I have a pipo u1 pro freshly delivered. I got tired of my ainol novo 7 aurora ii always having issues with the touch screen, so I bought the u1 pro. I also like the better resolution and bluetooth.

I'm hoping to see a rom mature to extend the battery life a little, as well as open up the usual functionality that comes with cm10 and such things.

For now, yours seems to be close to stock, so I think its a good fit.

I'm up for any testing. Cheers...

EDIT: I think there may not be a lot of people aware of your rom, as I see a bit more action on the other android tablet forums.

Flashed successfully, but the screen is messed up, it is split into two halves, and the touch screen is non responsive. I imagine something is up with the video driver and the touch driver.

No problem. I also tried the TNT rom while I was at it, but hated the build prop he used, as it had phone crap installed.

Went back to stock for now till I hear back from you.

Check to see if there are two kernel files in the RileyROM folder. I may have forgotten to delete my m5 kernel.

                  Delete kernel.img and rename 1kernel.img to kernel.img.

                  That will fix your problem.

Fill me in on how it goes.

Sorry about that...I'm not usually that sloppy.

That was the test kernel I used to boot on my Pipo M5.

No worries. That fixed it, I'm testing it now. Hey man, when you are balancing a lot of kernels, things happen. At least it was recoverable.

I'll let you know more as I find anything.

I don't expect it will be too much different than stock, but that's the idea with this one, right?

That was my goal with this rom. To debloat and keep it stock.

Did you include the updated jar file for using chrome (the updated chrome)?

I have the file from another site. If you pm me with your email address, I can send it to you. It fixes chrome, and other roms are using it. I don't know if it is your intent to want to include it or not. I haven't seen any problems that it caused. Some people say it fixes gameloft games. I don't have any of those to test.

EDIT: Apparently I do, I just hadn't played them lately. I'll load the file up and double check to see if they work before and after.
