I didn't add the xbox driver to this one...I just want to get a baseline.

This really has been one of the most difficult ROM's. I hope Google Play Store works this time.

Admittedly, I didn't try the store out before restoring my backups. That's why I have backups; I hate having to re enter all of my info to get access to the store again. So typically, I flash the rom, restore, and then test.

In the past test, I found that I had to restore media storage (system app and data) as well as the account data. That's what I had said in my earlier post. I didn't think media storage was something that could be removed. I don't think that ronixis had tested without restoring backup either, so I'm not sure what the rom you just made would do for his error...

Or did I miss something?

This last rom has nothing taken out. If it still doesn't work then it is something wrong with the firmware.

If everything works, then we know we have a good baseline to start with...adding other stuff.

It sounds like restoring backups that were taken from a previous version that was broken, you are just creating the problem over again.

I use Restore Missing Apps With Data, but I uncheck all system apps/google apps from the list. You aren't having to replace everything from Google Play Store...just a few things need to be installed from scratch.

Restoring faulty files from Titanium is just perpetuating the problem. We need to see if it is fixed in the ROM.

It may HAVE been in the last ROM, but we don't know.

If you could please check this for me it would be great.

Ok what i did with the previous versions of the rom is flashing it normally and thats all. I dnt restore any backup since i want to try everything first if its working or not.so first i tried out is installing some apps via play store. Then it cant download the app. Coz of that media storage error. Even restoring stuffs from my backup didnt fix it so i revert back to stock rom jan 23, 2013 and i tried playstore and i can download and install fine.

Will try the rom later when i get home.

sorry for the late feedback. lots of thunderstorm and IRL stuffs happening here in Philippines.

so far so good no more errors. going to test some stuffs first before i give this a passing mark.

So when will the next changes in rom going to be release?. And yes i'm hoping someone can port v.4.2.2 in u1 pro like in newer pipo tablets, pipo.cn will release 4.2.2 hopefully for u1 and u1 pro right?

i will try this rom for my tab today ...
just tow things i want know about this tablet if its hardware issue or not ..
there is something wrong about touchscreen only when the charger was plugged in.. link double touch or misleading ones ??? its something annoying ..

and the wireless signal is not that good ?? i search in google if i can put wireless adopter via USB . it seem that the android system dont have the drivers for it ??

The touch screen problem is common if you have a bad charger. You might try a different one.

As far as drivers...Leolas is our driver guy. Maybe he can help you with that.

did you check if the system app "Gallery" is installed? if yes then it should not give that error. the camera works ( front and back) from my side. and since it's a stock rom without any performance tweaks and stuffs. is your camera working with other ROM's before you flashed it with riley's?

The camera works fine when i first got the tablet. But since the stock out of the box ROM was giving me problems like random freezes. I flashed the tablet with the latest stock English ROM provided by the PIPO.cn website.

After the tablet works much better but for some reason the camera app was missing. So i tried downloading some camera apps to use. However it gives me that same problem i am facing now.

I'll take a look and compare the last two ROM's...if both are posted, that is...and see if I can extract the gallery app from the previous one. Maybe that will fix the problem. It will be sometime tomorrow, though.

They have only two versions listed a Chinese version and an English version. I used the English version to create my ROM, so I compared the Chinese version to see if there was a Gallery2.apk missing in either.

It turns out that all of my ROM's have the Gallery2.apk ...so that isn't the problem.

The only things I debloated were some Chinese media apps to download books and watch Chinese movies.

So it appears that the problem is somewhere in the firmware.

Hopefully, Pipo will figure this out and release an update. You guys are welcome to download and flash these official firmwares and try them to see if the camera works in either one of them.
