Maybe some devices need a delay between the off and on?

I have two test scripts this one and this one, see if one of those work, they both have a 7 second delay between off and on. If the commands work, and you can get it to work by manually inputting the commands, then surely it's just a matter of figuring out why it's not working via a script.

    This has to work... right?
    Well, this is just bizarre...

I ran the script with the delay between toggling ethernet off/on, and it worked! This got me wondering how the Root Toolkit shortcut I created works when it doesn't have any delay between the two commands. So, I edited your script and removed the delay between toggling, and it still worked!

Odd, as this definitely wasn't working before. I then tried making the script (with no delays in at all) bootable in Script Manager, rebooted, and it worked!!!

I can only think something I did - like creating the Root Toolkit shortcut - kicked the system into runnning scripts properly. Anyway, I now have ethernet at boot, so alls good.

Thanks for all your help with this, ididmytime!

Good to know, still can't understand why I'm not affected running finless 1.7. On another issue, my lan adapter sometimes connects at only 10mbps. I have to physically unplug it and reconnect before I get the full 100mbps. Anyone else get this problem?

Pleased you got it up and running, since I use wifi remotes it was essential for me personally to get it up and running, but it's really bizarre, since that script would of been identical.

It's possible to run the script on boot without the need to use script manager, but considering it's working fine the way it is I wouldn't mess around. I wish it was possible to actually edit the first post, so I could add alternatives to using the script01 method. I may add a delay inbetween toggles incase it is an issue, theres no harm in waiting an added 2 seconds if it helps.

Maybe there is a permission issue with the script, or the roms, and something needs to be done before scripts work? Either way, wish we had more information on this.

Hybrid is about as close to as good as the rk3066 will see, doubt there will be too many more roms for these devices, and if Bob makes 1.8 there would be little incentive to update.

I have a ton of new content for the FAQ, including benchmarks for ALL kernels.
          look forward to this m8

Closing this thread, as I wanted to update the FAQ, and most of the post's do not apply anymore.

If a mod can delete this it would be appreciated.
