hello this is my first post ,first I would like to thank justme for his gr8 work ,most of the problems that I was running into mostly were addressed by others so thank you too ,I would like to mention that I come from 1.7 a just me rom the one before the latest release I did the update via the update app went all smooth and easy however i can not go back to recovery with any known method i even tried to put factory.aml and recovery image file from the 1.7a but no luck and tried toothpick method nothing happens can anybody help me how to accsess recovery so i can flash future updates thank you in advance.

I don't have recovery on my m8 but I do have recovery on my gbox Q. Flashify can't be installed it says it's not compatible with this device and that is how I would flash recovery on the box is there another way to do this?

there is a way ,you put the rom which is .zip ending ,the factory file ending with .aml and recovery which is .img and image file ,you put all this on the sdcard then use the toothpick method but so far after installing 1.8 I cant go back to recovery no matter what I do its not going to recovery unless somebody from here can send me a working recovery file with 1.8 rom or explain what are they doing my box is ott m8 square 2 ,,....................,,,,,,,,,************DONT FLASH YOUR GBOX Q WITH ANOTHER RECOVERY**********you will brick it..

I have recovery on my gbox Q but not on my m8. So I put 1.7a back on the Q it's been a rock solid rom!!! I have bricked my Q and used guide on this forum to bring it back to life. Try factory recovery im sure it's in the forum somewhere.

ok finally solved:this will help other people too its basically a trial and error just put any recovery.img file from old just me roms or even finless em8 recovery did it .I personally used the recovery image from 1.5 v3d rom from just me so here how I did it :download the 1.5v3d rom extract ,prepare a sd card fat32 format ,go to extracted folder and send only the recovery image to the sd card and not the factory_update.aml why not? because it will erase your current rom if the.aml file command is set to do so .and then insert the sd card and do the toothpick trick and voila .now my friend ericlupori you have a recover for your m8 ehehehe in an sd card .

M8N install went well, as the rest of JM's prior ROMs.
Initial findings:

1) Custom Remote App worked.
2) CyberGhost loads and protects.
3) Audio output to both HDMI & SPDIF is a nice touch.
4) Cannot reboot into Recovery by either Application (Quickboot) or by toothpick method.
5) Cannot write to SD Card.
6) Cannot uncover the bottom toolbar.

Not being able to get into recovery locks the box. Not a big issue at this time.

you guys are welcome .the only reason I suggested not to put the factory-update.aml file is because the 1.8 didn't come with it that is why if you put the 1.7a .aml file it will erase the 1.8 to factory default but if you want to go back to 1.7a you put the 1.53d recovery with 1.7a .aml file and 1.7a update.zip.

yes it does .just a quick note to be able to play 3d bluray iso in vidonme you need to select play main title directly(when you click on the video file in videos not from the widget) , and don't select bluray menu they are trying to fix it with a future release to be able to play 3d movies directly from the bluray menu.
