Just download directly from your device and install, or copy to a SD card and install. Open the App hit Start and then Hide. If you pay attention you will see the pixel floating around (not intrusive once you play video). To stop hit stop.
I just finished watching an episode of planet earth @ 720p streamed over SMB (using a USB ethernet adapter) on my MK908... It seemed MUCH improved since the last time I tried... hopefully it's not psycological.
This version works better for me then final one. Thank you

This update allows you to change the time b/w each thread. It's set by default at 1 milli which is what it was on the first release with very good results. I also added a Test button which will render a red dot instead so you can see and test what it's actually doing.
To Run: Tap on the Start button.
To Test: Tap on the TEST button
Adjust the number of millisecs using the text field (0-10) if needed. The values 0-2 seem to work best on my MK908.
I had this problem one of of my old android phones as well which was caused by some screen color app, but this is not the case here.....any ideas?

Originally posted by peteus View PostI think I hit that issue sometime even thought I had in settings the option to allow installing apps from other sources. Anyway, there is workaround. Download ES Explorer 3 and play with it. You will figure out how to install app from there. also I heard that this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ise.inst&hl=en is pretty good, but didn't test it yet.

Both solutions do not work unfortunately. When installing through these apps the same confirmation comes up that cant be accepted.
Once you click on the app you want to install, you will see "app manager" notification. There will be no any kind of prompt asking you to "ok" the installation. It will simply install. Look for the installed up in app drawer.

Edit: let me ask you a more silly, kind of off topic question in return. When I power down the device, how do I power it on again? It lacks a power button, the only thing that works is by taking out the power cable. There must be an easier way, no?Last edited by plaktoets; 18 July 2013, 00:01.

My mk908 still gets hot without the program... try playing the same video for the same time without it, I get reboots sometimes as well. Hopefully something the new SDK will fix as well.
For the first time yesterday evening I was able to watch 720p mp4 movie without having frame loss thanks to your app. However, in bright scenes, I was able to see black pixel flying all over the screen. I cant use transparent pixel version as this is not working most of the time (as other as well reported).
Is it possible to have black pixel moving left-right repeatedly only at the bottom or at the top of the screen? How do I edit your app to give pixel those coordinates? Thanks

Any fix in sight?
Hi,
the workaround is great, but is there any real fix in sight? The video performance improves while running the pixel, but still, thats not quad core performance I get. I read that somebody fixed the kernel for the for T428.
I did my research before buying the mk908 but as usual the real problems only appear when it is too late. I should have bought the mk809 III
I also have the issue that my stick freezes for a few seconds while running xbmc... but I guess thats a temperature problem though.

this kernel fix it apparently. www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?6145-MK908-Kernel-with-Frameskip-Fix-720p-amp-1080p-Download&p=81684

Thanks!
I tried that Kernel yesterday and it really improves the video performance! There a still some lags left during wide shot pans with 1080p vids, but at least that overall stutter is gone. I'm using the Finless 1.5 4.2.2 btw.
Apart from that, not much changed, but I don't play games on my stick so I can't say anything about the apparently lower 3D performance.
