Great work - Just got my box last week (Just the Pro unfortunately) and the stock FW seemed surprisingly good. I'm not a demanding user but I got Kodi running nice and smoothly in 30-40 mins.

But 'root' is essential for my long term use and so I'll load this baby up tonight and try and give you some feedback. Anything in particular (high bit-rate MKVs, HEVC files etc) you'd like us to use to stress test it for you?

wasser What should I use to flash it? The FactoryTool gives me an error when loading the firmware.

I still get a load firmware failure.

Also tried to load it into AndroidTool 2.35 and get the same error.

It does however load into the Firmware factory tool 5.0, so structurally it must be fine.

it's strange why it doesnt work under windows. Maybe it's a bug in windows tool. I only use linux tool to flash the firmware. It works fine for me with:
                  upgrade_tool uf wasser-3.1.0-r68-rk3368_box.img

please try to flash it under linux

I got it to work with the Windows tool.

Unpacked and repacked the image with the Firmware factory tool 5.0 to create a new image and now it loads into the flashing tool and flashes correctly.

I did the same earlier and was able to load it in to the Factrory tool and flash it but did not get passed boot logo. Did you use Factorytool to flash it ?

Yes I used Factory tool 1.39 to flash and it worked perfectly.

Using the ROM now and so far,so good.

Strange. Tried it again and I get stuck on the boot. Can you share the compiled image ?

                              Sure.

I don't see any problem when flashing it.
