Nope nothing more...

Just small things..

1. There is no poweron.ogg in the /system/media/ui directory - consequently, no boot up sound...
2. Strangely enough I did not see the /system/media/rkfactory - don't know what happened... it should normally be the place for default-wallpaper...we should keep the directory atleast.
3. If you could make the 4gb default parameter... i know, some people had already asked for this, but will be very useful to load nice meaty apps on this.



On the other note.
Confirming that XBMC XAF version is working very well on this... WITHOUT the external media player..
Moboplayer - NOT working.

BT, external mic, external cam check underway.

Will report once done.

Got my T428 today and immediately flashed this ROM on it. Initial findings (others have already reported all/most of these).

• Not possible to enable an external sound card in the settings (i.e. no mic support)
• Mount point for USB storages incorrect at '/mnt/usb_storage'

Some positive things:

• My NTFS-formatted 1TB 2.5" USB HDD works perfectly through a powered D-Link DUB-H4 USB hub. With SambaDroid I'm able to use the device as a NAS.
• Logitech K400 keyboard/touchpad combo works
• Wii USB-RJ45 adapter works very well (better than the included adapter)
• The 2A power supply I bought from Amazon.de seems to be able to push enough current to keep the device stable under load.

So far I have only had time to install the bare minimum of essential apps (MX Player Pro w/ ARMv7 NEON codecs, SambaDroid, ES File Explorer). H/W+ acceleration in MX Player doesn't seem to work correctly but basic H/W accel does. I haven't tested with HD material yet.

My ROM has a 4gb parameter file

I supplied a 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, and 6gb.

Am I missing something?

OK per above I have updated the ROM download to 1.4a to fix the missing setting in build.prop

I have updated the first post in this thread to reflect this change.

This is what is now posted.

UPDATE May 21 - 2013

It was brought to my attention (thanks Alok) that I left out a setting in the build.prop file causing some APPs to not install due to not properly seeing the SDcard.

I have fixed that and made ROM 1.4a.

However for those that have already flashed 1.4 and don't want to erase you can update this yourself.
1) Because you are rooted you can easily edit build.prop file and near the end just add this line:
ro.factory.storage_policy=0
2) Reflash system.img
If you don't know how to edit build.prop then you can flash only system.img using the flash tool.
Run the flash tool and uncheck everything except system. Do NOT erase NAND.
Now just flash system.img over the old ROM.
It should reboot and you will be back with no data loss.

Netflix issues

HI, Bob.

I have experienced some issues with Netflix app. Sometimes the subtitles skip or disappear with no reason, or the video itself skips. When I have installed your firmware I remember that windows have installed the drivers automatically. Could this be the cause of that misbehavior?? Everything else is normal. Great job, indeed!

Windows drivers would have nothing to do with how well Netflix runs in Android OS.

All this Netflix stuff is because of many things. Some because of the Netflix APP itself, and some because of the Android OS on these new sticks. You just have to wait for things to get fixed right now.
