Hi Bob.Dont know if helps, but the market issue happened to me with my phone because I changed the resolution density. Apparently the market checks the settitngs in the file that contains this info (build.prob). As soon as I put back the deffault value and clear the market cache, it worked fine again.

Well I think that may have been a coincidence honestly for you? Maybe not? Hard to say....
It took over 30 minutes to update but without doing anything after a flash of my 1.5b ROM and App Injector, it eventually updated to show the apps that it was saying was not compatible.
So once again a reflash of a ROM gives you a new ID and it takes Google some time to get it figured out.
I am going to do it one more time and make sure.

OK folks extensive testing today with the new Google Play store 3.5.16
1) After you flash a new ROM or do a "factory reset" it is pretty much gaurenteed that you will have "this app is not compatible" for a time, or not even find the APP. Remember this. Everytime you reflash you get a new ID. A factory reset does not give you a new ID BUT it is interesting that first launch of google play 3.5.16 will still have a limited app problem.
2) If you WAIT long enough..... eventually Google Play will update you and those missing apps will start to show up. In my testing it can be 5 minutes or an hour!
3) I did find a way to make it happen faster especially after a ROM flash.
OK so either wait for Google Play to update your database and give you the OK
Or do this procedure. I have tried this at least 10 times now either doing a ROM reflash or just a factory reset.
1) Go to the Google Play Store and search for Google Earth. If it does not show up, you are limited and have the problem. Again wait for a while and it should show up eventually. If G Earth still wont show up and your wanting to fix this now... Proceed to step 2.
2) OK reboot. We cannot have Google Play running when you do this. Reboot and do this directly. Do NOT wait too long as Google Play will run eventually to try and do "update apps".
3) Go to settings, and manage APPs. Select ALL, select Google Play Store. Use the Clear data button. If at the top above that "force stop" is white and not greyed out, DO NOT CLEAR DATA! You need to reboot again as you waited to long and Gplay is now runinng again! Reboot and come back to step 3.
4) After clearing, power down again. Power up and it should all be working!
5) If Google Play now force closes on you and will not RUN. Thats the crappy part! You cleared Data as it was starting, and it hosed it upYou MUST do a factory Data reset and start over
NOW the IMPORTANT PART you all need to understand! A reflash of the ROM will put you right back at step 1!!!! Reflashing WILL NOT solve the problem. In fact it will bring it back every time!
Now realize this final comment. LOOK at this post date for this post. Things may change by tomorrow! So this is only relevant to what is happening today.

No Problems with 3.5.16
Google Play has been working ok since 3.5.15 for me so i had it frozen by Titanium until this weekend.
I defrosted it and let it update automatically to 3.5.16.
Then i just let it sit for a while and everything is still good. I have 100+ apps listed in my apps.
Maybe the problem we were all having is Google's servers being slow to update.

Same here just leave it alone and let it update itself when the Google servers wake up
