4.1.1 (v1.7) does it too. does xbmc work for you? my aim is to eventuually set it up with xbmc.

Why does Netflix look like this when playing on v2? Works fine on v1.7. Latest Netflix app.



And my VPN app doesnt seem to work either. I use PrivateInternetAccess app and it works on v1.7 too.

Netflicks doesn't work on any of the 4.2 bins except the 1080p one from rikomagic but that bins full of bugs and causes overheating.
You can get netflicks working if i remeber correct by using the one posted in the first post of this thread.
Its a older version of netflicks.

Are people still complaining about Netflix and android 4.2? This is old news, use Xposed with the Netflix patch and you're done.

Everyone should have Xposed installed anyway to plug the two Master key exploits discovered recently.

The Netflix fix says it is for CM10 but works fine on other roms as well.

2.0 i still had alot of problems with video lagging or not running at all.

i am using 1.7 myself right now till there is a fix for this.

I'm also back at 1.7(a). Youtube now runs fine again on the 1080p version. Seeing what will be next...

Yeah most of the 4.2 1080p roms for these devices have issues with playback.

In fact rikomagic new 1080p rom has exactly the same bugs as finless 4.1 1080p rom.

Its likely rikomagic didn't do much in the way of actually programing .

Does anyone know a fix for xbmc hardware support to play hd content smoothly? Steaming 1080p movies from my media server works fine using other apps but not xbmc.

CPU frequency/temperature question

First of all thanks for your work Bob.

I flashed your Finless ROM 2.0 (kernel 720p) on my UG007. In stock rom I have problems with some movies but yesterday I watch 2 of them with no problems. Thank you again for your work.

I read here that this kernel unlock CPU frequency up to 1.6 GHz and I need passive cooling. As I say yesterday I watched 2 movies without brake (not full HD). All the time the device was cooler than with the stock rom so for now the CPU frequency is not 1.6 GHz or closer I think. Is there a way to monitor cpu temperature (like sensors command in linux) and frequency (like cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq in linux). I do not want to add passive cooling if there is no need of it.

video issues

Tried installing 2.0 on a pair of MX1s, with the 720 video. They would work on my samsung LCD but when plugged into my amp and older 56" 720p rear projector TV, no video at all. Went back to 1.7a@720p, no issue at all on the big old tv. Strange.

2.0 also drove me crazy with this constant black screen flickering. Every time I'd click the mouse, the screen went black for a second. Very bizarre but not present with 1.7a.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

Does anyone else notice when using the netflix fix that now netflix only plays in standard def? At least when using an older version I could get hd.
