Tronsmart Vega s95 Amlogic s905 Series: Pro, Meta and Telos

I'm very happy with this Tv Android, but there's one thing annoying, I own the Telos edition, with Sata Hard Disk, when the box in on standby and off, the HDD is always running, do you know a way to stop the HDD from receiving power, hence shutting down together with the box, and turning on with the box.

I think this must be the most requested feature, it should come out of the box, the hdd is always spinning and heating, there's no point on that

Point taken, but most, if not all TV boxes experience these types growing pains on release. It is early yet. Give it a bit.

This is not a software problem, if you need dolby dts hardware decoding, You need s905-h chip, it is much higher price and limited supplier, as far as we know, only xiaomi tv box use the s905-h right now. use the software decoding, you can get sound.

If Amlogic will fix the audio poping issue I promise to buy a Meta, otherwise it's not usable for me. I do all the audio decoding with an Yamaha receiver, so the audio-passthru is a must for me.

Yes for me it's the best buy for buck, I haven't tried another, but giving the specs, and Sata connector it's awesome

Sata is not a big deal for me as I have network storage. My biggest concern is the Vidon XBMC. I am not sure if it will connect to my MYSQL database like my other Kodi systems.

Last night the box stopped connecting to google services, so I had no Google Play. Deleting/recreating my account was the only solution that worked. Also, every 20-30 minutes the screen went down for 1 seconds (sound was ok), very annoying. Oh and that useless remote, what a shame...

Looks like Ill return it as soon as I can.

My advice is to stay away from this box or wait for Tronsmart to patch things up.
