Hello there everyone. I am a brand new user of both Freaktab and a Tronsmart S95. It seems that the device has a HD straming issue that I would like to mention here in hopes of having it addressed in the future "Finless ROM". The device does not stream movies from Netflix, from the web (Chrome) or from any other straming service or app in HD. Bob, I hope you can solve that little problem

I think this is more of an Android issue for most boxes with those services. There are some exceptions, like the Shield TV, etc. YouTube should go to 1080.

Most probably. But i have seen that patches have been made for other processors to enable that, so I thought it may be possible for Amlogic S905 as well.

It may be available to the S905, but I do not know. Sometimes a device can spoof another and hide things like root access or its HDMI output. But I am afraid that is beyond my limited skills. Hopefully someone can help you with that.
                Cheers.

                  It works thank you!
Was amazed how easy it was.
I think its necessary to format the SD card to FAT32

And then I found this thread so I tried rooting by both methods mentioned.

Neither has worked - both give identical results no matter if I use a small capacity SD card or a larger one.

It just gives the recovery screen with the broken Android symbol and a whole long bunch of 'no such file or directory' errors.

Once I manually reboot it, it is still not rooted according to the root checker app.

I hope someone here will help me to get this rooted, please ?!?

                    Thanks.

Delete the recovery.img and factory_update_param.aml from your sdcard and just flash the ezroot.zip using the update tool installed on the box.

Ok. I'm frustrated. Spent a few hours trying to root last night using both a 32 gig sd car that was formatted to fat 32 and a USB stick formatted to fat 32 and all I get is a bunch of errors about unable to locate /cache and install failed. I'm fairly good with rooting devices but it is just not working for me. Also I don't have a reset button in my AV. Any help?

I have a OTT TV box, MXQ Pro. I have been trying to get the Ez root to work for about a week. I got it working with the advice from
jsergio123 and deleted the recovery.imp and factory_update_param.ami files and it worked great. Thank you

I grabbed the file linked here: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...ces#post544216
Put just the ezroot.zip on the SD card - did as you said - and after all this time sitting in its box it is finally rooted !! (And it only took a few minutes too.)
Now I guess I'll keep that one after all.

I have an unrooted H96 Plus 4K Android 5.1, Amlogic S905, 2gb/16gb TV Box with Kodi and I like to know if EZ-Root will work for this box. Thanks in advance.
