I've never used it myself. The instructions are there on the Cydia Impactor website somewhere.

Hi just tried to use cydia impactor and it doesn't detect my device. at first it gave me the option to install drivers for my device but after installation it keeps on saying "no device". what do i do?

No idea.

It looks like the website changed recently... it used to have very detailed instructions about it's use.

I'd say either google search for an article with instructions for using it or contact the developer.

just activate usb debbuging and connect ur device and root it directly with cydia >> the program alwayes says not dected

You need a modified recovery to flash anything on the current Amlogic based Nextbook models.

Check your model and see if one is available for your model here in the forums.
NX007HD ,jelly-bean4.1.0 8G ,fingers r crossed,I used the root method given and worked flawless,excellently bulike a dumb by I tried to mod my dpi,"s from 160 to 165 and it said reboot now,screen booted got to the sunfowerloading screen and resides there now hoping zipping a recovery will bring it beck to life,great work bit he way guys,'shaunMT"and" finless'great work and a fan of all you,se do to help people.I hope I'm posting this right?Because it keeps saying needs two more words.

The easiest fix will be to boot the modified recovery and flash the stock rom.

Probably shouldn't mess with dpi... If you really want to mess with dpi learn how to use x posed framework... it has a module that lets you set dpi per each app and i think there is a way to disable it during boot if something goes wrong...

just make sure usb debug is on go to devolper option in settings then u see usb debugg check it then run ur cydia impactor should b it might take a couple mins then down load supper user install it then u should b rooted jave fun

.the method from the thread for the nxp12 ,I cleared cache media and had to install the mod recov. Before it would except the root pckge,,,the package had to stay zipped not unzipped,and its crazy but I had to repeat that a few times before it worked it didn't work the first shot,,,I have all the next books,that was the easiest to root with thread,,:-)

I'm probably late on the info but I can't use a PC all the time so I have to use other means like the package got me superuser,but won't give me root some apps say got root others say I don't my//uid isnt yifang the host is Iscao,I'm try in to change It somehow,

have u tryed the method that shaun had posted for root
and have u installed a super user app

Yup ,it put the su in the right spot it tells me its all cool just the uid isn't lineing up for some reason they put busy box in them preinstalled but they put the crapiest one in and you can't delete it until you get root the root check says its uid,I'm post almost there!!!!
