I dont know HOW.... but now i am able to play audio via HDMI after installing apps "JET Audio" and "MX Player"

i have no idea how its works but after installing these apps , i can play audio via HDMI,
i think there may be driver or codec issue...

Anyway, Please have a try and let me know if it resolves the issue.
don't forget to reboot the box
after booting up, reboot your TV it may have auto detect Audio device technology

Also.....there are huge frame drops while watching HD videos (i.e. not able to enjoy HD videos smoothly)

(* fixed it with MX Player codec..... also with ram swapper tool to free up some RAM by swapping it to external SD card)

First off all, thanks for this rom. I installed it yesterday on my Eny MXQ. WiFi is working by the way.
Installed Kodi from playstore. Working fine except audio. When I change this to passthrough and start a movie with ac3 or DTS the whole system crashes. I found it is a Kodi 17 problem, when I installed SPMC, which is based on version 16, there is no problem.
Also some apps won't play video, Ziggo Go, NL ziet. On the other hand YouTube plays HD now, was only 480p and IMDb plays video where the stock ROM didn't.

So anyone any ideas on the Kodi issue?
                Thanks in advance.

I have an OTT MXQ box with the s805. Build number MXQ.V2.0.201601260953 It describes it at this link, as the M201D: rigacci.org/wiki/doku.php/doc/appunti/hardware/mxq_s805

I have tried every variation of install from the MXQproject to no avail. After finally finding a working TWRP file from the previous link above, I was able to try and flash the LibrElec as well as the Abduls Lollipop images with no real success. LibrElec loaded up but kept crashing when I used the USB mouse or stock IR remote. Abduls Lollipop loaded but never got farther than boot. It kept saying Android Is Starting, and Optimizing Apps... but even after optimizing it would just go to the screen with the word android and stay there doing nothing. I have spent two days messing around with it with no luck. I have 3 of these boxes I want to "fix" for future use. Anyone else have success with this model and build?

I have a k1 without a boot button. I installed this rom through an update option. I put the zip and twrp into the sdcard and did an update. Installation successfully passed. Then the lollipop system came up.
On the first screen I chose a language. On the second screen when I connect to wifi After I connect to wifi it returns to the first screen of the language selection. There is no option to skip this. Because I do not have a boot button I do not know how to enter recovery. I want to do a new installation or wipe data or another solution.
it has boot button to enter recovery mode my dear, on the below (not AV port) has small hole (small 0)

It then asks me to connect to my wireless network, to which I select my wireless SSID and then I enter the security key for that network. It then says successfully connected to the network the after a couple of seconds goes back to the select language screen. I can not get passed this on my box. It is an infinite loop from language to wifi selection screen. Can anyone help me with this? I have also broken my reset switch from the board so I am unable to get in and flash it back to my original firmware. Does anyone know of an easy way I can get back to my old firmware version without the toothpick reset. I am no longer able to toothpick reset the box. Can I short the reset pins in some way to cause the box to start in recovery. Maybe there is some very specific ADB instructions. I am at a lose now and I have no idea what to do. Please help.

I am facing the same problem, after choosing language, go to wifi choice, when connecting my network back to language, any solution ??.

I have an S805 MXQ with red sash. I faced similar problems with the wifi screen even though it was connected on ethernet. In the end I used the adb over network. I tried to modify the build prop file to stop loading the setup wizard or not to require wifi but no suggestion I googled worked. So I did this in command prompt: adb connect <ip address>:5555 -> adb shell -> mount -o rw,remount /system. Using cp and mv commands I then backed up SetupWizard.apk and copied Launcher2.apk to the SetupWizard folder renamed it SetupWizrard.apk and rebooted. Up came the launcher home page. I have 1 problem left when google play updates itself it no longer downloads applications. Everything seems to work, I am using Kodi 18 alpha and it plays x265 using hardware decoding and 3D in mono.

I install using twrp and starts up into the setup nicely, until I get to the 2nd screen where it asks me to setup WIFI network and won't let me go past that point without setting it up. Problem with this is that without the installation recognizing the WIFI hardware, I can't see any available networks. Even larger problem is that the software set-up won't let me past the wifi setup screen without making a connection.
                          Kind regards, daviswr23

What's a good launcher to use on this firmware?

I tried the nova launcher from the playstore and it's not very good as a launcher for a tv box.

Do you know how can I swap "Freak Tab, Fun, Learning and Mutual Respect" logo right at the start?
