Is seems that the User interface from the firmware is locked in this resolution which is also visible from Kodi system information screen.. Is it possible to change it somewhere?
My understanding is that it would require a 1080p kernel, so probably unlikely to happen from the manufacturers.

After the precious help of bluesmanuk finally i flashed my Nexsmart D32.

i'm still testing but the first impression are:

      - Fastest to switch on and the launcher.
      - More options to setting (i didn't try the auto framerate adjust)

      - Youtube lagging with sound issues
      - Skype unusuble with sound and video issues.

I think this issues are related with the lack of network tweaks in Stock Firmware, because the issues are all with apps using network streaming. It's just a guess.
Do you think is possible repair?

I'm using Ethernet connection with a Cat.6 cable and with a 120mb Speed, and other users have the same issues, so is not because my home netowrk.

I disable some apps like you suggested, but the issues continue.

I have another cheap TVbox Beelink X2 and i haven't no issues with skype, youtube.

      Many Thanks

Beelink X2 and Nexsmart D32 for now!!!

I'm not getting any lagging in Youtube or other streaming apps such as iPlayer

I disable all user apps from running at startup and some system ones that are unnecessary.

        Which ones have you disabled?

Only Amlogic devices use remote.conf not Rockchip devices.
You can try the /system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl file instead.

Hi bluesmanuk canon you please upload the drivers you used or the detail a bit the process od nexsmrt d32 because i can't get my pc to recognize it and I had installed some firmware on RK30xx with batch-tool but this device is always unrecognised. The android tool doesn't find the device either. I use a cable usb male to male and connect it to the usb near the rear side and the device is installed as unknown, after I change to rockchip drivers the device insn't recognized by the firmware upgrade tools.
                Thanks

The general procedure is to install the driver and Android tool.

Fire up the tool and load the firmware from the Upgrade Firmware tab.

You don't need AC power at this stage as enough juice will be delivered from your PC.

Using a toothpick or something similar and insert it into the rear AV port and whilst the reset switch is pressed in, plug the USB cable into the port nearest the back of the box (the other end should already be plugged into your PC at this point, USB2 port preferable to USB 3). Release the toothpick from the reset button after a couple of seconds.

The status of the Android tool should go from no devices found to indicate that it can be seen.

Select the EraseFlash option in the tool and wait for it to be complete.

Then select the Upgrade option and wait for the process to complete.

Whilst it is updating you can plug the AC adapter in of you want.

The box will reboot and start the process of completing it's installation during which point you will be asked if Google can check for harmful apps, which you should agree to, or else it will come up with the prompt every time that it installs one of the apps in the background.

Download link to the driver installer and tool is

If you want the manufacturers to provide an update path to Marshmallow, this seems to be the official place to request it.

hey guys. i followed bluesmanuks instructions for installing this rom. so after installing the driver, opening the androidtool, loading the firmware into androidtool and plugging in the box with the button pressed, windows always recognizes the box for like 5 seconds as unknown device and then it disappeares again from hardware manager.. did i do something wrong at the driver installation step or do you think i should order a new usb cable?
                              thanks

If it is disappearing from device manager without good reason after being recognised then it does look like a potential cable issue but could be more.

Have you tried other USB ports on your PC, preferably USB 2.0?
