yeah i tried different ports. even different machines with different windows versions, all with the same result. I think I will just order another cable from amazon now, hopefully this solves those problems.

I have read and re read as many posts on this forum as I can find, and anywhere else I can find. I have tried a few firmware images I have found and all of the firmware img file you have posted and referenced to for the D5.

Do any of them have working Netflix (ie audio sync issue)

Netflix is rarely mentioned or not mentioned at all.

Any direction I could try going, or if you recommend returning the D5 and trying another box, Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Kodi is a must for myself. I love Kodi, and my wife uses it aswell but her main GoTo is Netflix ease of use and no clicking required. She will not accept anything without the option of Netflix. I would like something more flexable than a FireStick.

Any input again is greatly appreciated.

I'm not a Netflix user myself, so can't comment about it from a personal perspective.

From other reports that I have seen elsewhere though, the sync issue does seem to exist and with no specific solution on the horizon at this time.

new cable same problem are there any alternative flashing methods like from sd card or does anyone of you guys have an idea what else i could try?
edit: after connecting a screen to my box during the process i realized that i actually boots into recovery just fine.. so maybe i did something wrong at the installing drivers step? i just double clicked the driverinstall.exe in the driver assistant folder and allowed all the drivers to be installed.. or do i need a sd card insterted into the device?
edit 2: insterting sd card during the process doesnt change anything..

So even with a new cable it still appears and then disappears from device manager?

There is this tool, although I have never used it myself and don't k ow whether it will work with newer images.

yessss! i got it to work!! i dont exactly know why it solved my problem but I dont care so what happened was that I read somewhere online that you can update some android boxes by just putting the image into the main directory of the sd card. so i put your rom there, restarted the box with the toothpick and instead of going into recovery like in the pictures I have uploaded, the screen was staying black.
After some seconds windows suddenly recognized the box properly as rockchip device and even the toolbox could see it. I flashed your rom and everything is good so far.
After deactivating all the userapps and some system apps, everything runs smooth. no youtube lags anymore, auto frame adjustment seems to work fine, ftmc (replaced the original one) runs smooth as hell and I could even get a psone emulator to run

Well I confess not to knowing the logic behind it working but I am glad that it is and that method can be added to the list of possible flashing fixes.

I flash my Nexsmart D32 with pc without SD card. but i continue having lagging youtube and lagging with other apps.

- Can you describe the procedure that you use with SD Card? (do you plug the box to the pc or you update with recovery?
- Can you tell me what system apps did you desactivate?
- what option did you select on auto frame adjustment?
-Do you use Wifi or Ethernet?

I obsorved the youtube and the lagging and crackling sound happens when the bar of the streaming advances. So i continue think the problem is because the defective connection.
I test my ethernet connection and i have 80mb.

hey. i have basically just used bluesmanuks tutorial with the exception of having the custom rom also in the base directory of the sd, but i dont think you need to worry about all that since you already have the rom installed. regarding the system apps i have uploaded some pictures and i am using wifi

Do you have a link to the root tool that you used?

The latest apk does not work and I can't find a Windows application that will run in English?

EDIT: Ignore the above.I mistakenly typed kingroot and got the wrong app.

I will try kingOroot.

UPDATE: Tried Kingoroot and both the APK and Windows utilities failed to root it.
