It is definately a usb 2.0 , I am trying to do it with a Pipo m6, Do you think it might be because the M6 dosnt have the built in flash mode ? Has anyone out there ever managed to get the Pipo M6 max to boot up into flash mode ?

Edit : OMG think i may have sorted it, I plugged in the Usb , then held the volume up key and the power button at the same time and it said installing drivers !! ), I then just hit the flash button on the flash tool and away it went ), And yes ! its just booted up, So relieved, ty for trying to help Randy )

Are you flashing this ROM? It is for the M8 Pro only. Check the threads for the M6.

          light intensity soft buttons

          @ Randy
Hi, is there any way to increase the light intensity on the soft buttons (return -home-window-_volume, +volume) ?
I know it's a small matter, but (at least to me) it's kind of annoying as in may instances I can hardly see these soft buttons.
          Thanks

I'm not sure where that setting is...but I'll look for it. It's either in the SystemUI.apk or the framework_res.apk

Problem with rooting my m8 pro

              Hello all,

I'm trying to root my pipo m8 pro tablet, but since I'm not so good at these things it won't work
I tried to follow the "First time user guide". The problem is, when I click the button "Reboot2Flash", my tablet turns down. At the bottom of the RK Android tool it says "No found RK Android rock usb". I don't know how I can get the "Found the RK Android Loader Rock USB" line to appear, so I can start the flash process. Can anyone help me with this?? You would really help me out!

              Thanks in advance!!!

                1. Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port...not USB 3.0

                2. Don't go through a hub.

                3. Try a different USB cable. The one that came with the tablet is best because it has a longer jack which fits the port on the tablet better.

                4. Make sure you have the driver installed correctly. Look in device manager and see if it sees the Rockchip device.

                5. Try running the RKBatchTool as an alternative to see if it recognizes the tablet.

Try those things and see if that helps.
