Yeah,it doesnt feel like Gorilla Glass.I'm a bit paranoid as I somehow managed to scratch my week old Nexus 7 when I got it and I've no idea how it happened as it was in a case!

When you say you've taken the screen protector, do you mean the thick one with the sticker on one of the top corners (to help taking it off) or the actual protector underneath it? Coz I was pleasantly surprised after taking the thick protector off (the one that you're supposed to take off) that there was an actual protector underneath it. Maybe worth a check!

I took the whole protector off as it had dust under it.

Just a general question. I find the M6 very laggy ,I assume this is because of the high resolution. Will this ever be fixed with future FW updates or can the RK3188 just not handle it?

I hope its the result of the known video bug, in the Rockchip kernel, that they're working on...

Would this cause lag in the UI?

I can't confirm for sure, but maybe it's more noticeable on higher resolution screens.

Can't say that i have noticed mine being 'laggy' seems to slow down sometimes if its been idle for a while and has stack of apps open. I also get some pausing while its sorting itself out in the browser if i am wanting to type a new web address.. nothing major tho.. certainly lots quicker than my htc one x.

Certainly what I would call a generally smooth experience tho. You never know, they may get the 1.8ghz going.. as mine is cold as anything when operating and its still being advertised as 1.8ghz.

                  Official SDK 2.0 is coming!

Finally got a response from Pipo on their Facebook page regarding the timeline for SDK 2.0 firmware upgrade for M6. Here it is:

we will do 20130726 sdk2.0 , will upload to our offical website later today
That was 17 hours ago. So I guess any time now.

I have already done 6 ROMs today based on new firmware releases from Pipo....if it appears, let me know...but I think it will be late tomorrow night before I can get to it. I'm working on M8's and M9's right now.

                    Thanks!!!!!

Well although after coming from an iPad, the M6 does feel as laggy as a mule for me at times (but not all the time), it doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary for Android since I wouldn't say my One X was much better although now with CM10.1 installed, it's now 95% buttery smooth. My biggest gripe is the freezing which happened again yesterday when I tried to open Evernote. The whole system just froze and I had to once again do a hard reset using the hole in the back. This is what I find most annoying because No. 1, it just shouldn't happen on a new device these days and No. 2, I don't always have something that can access this hole. But it was the first time this happened after installing RileyROM so hopefully it'd get ironed out eventually.

on the top part of the screen (in landscape mode), where the volume buttons are located...
there is an entire line where the touchscreen doesn't work.

Common problem?? Or do I need to send it back??

That does sound like a hardware issue. I haven't heard the same report from anyone else.

I had the same problem with one of my other tablets...and had to return it for a replacement.

I received mine yesterday and noticed the left speaker is noticeably quieter / muffled than the right. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you.

Again, that sounds like a hardware issue...might be a bad solder connection or a short in the speaker wire.

Have you seen any internal hardware reviews or photos showing how to dismantle? I'm good at soldiering so may repair myself.
