To be frank, the SDK 2.0 based ROM's are all a bit laggier than the SDK 1.0 based ones...The fastest ROM without any lag was the one based on the current factory ROM on the PiPO site (The 18.06.13 english one)...I come back to that after every flash of the various variants of the SDK 2.0 ROM's from the baidu site...I have come to the conclusion that SDK 2.0 has not added anything better and in fact has reduced the smoothness for M6.

After experiencing lag, primarily in Chrome, I've concluded the problem is rated to the governor and the wireless.
I determined this by changing the governor to 'performance' using 'Antutu CPU master', where by the tablet ran very nice and smooth.
Riley, are we able to tweak the 'interactive' governor and wireless driver?

I haven't tried a SDK 1 Rom yet, but I find the SDK2 one I'm using awful for lag. Does video etc work OK on the SDK 1 Roms?

Hotsppot shield or any other vpn app not working with pipo m6
Guys I started using 1.4 rileyrom and so far so good. Less lag for sure got 15056 with HD res in Antutu overclocked to performance cpu setting. Still this device needs a better rom İ beleive, hope they come. Thanks riley for the roms..
On the other hand İ am experiencing problems with hotspot shield or similar vpn programs that help you to hide your ip. They simple do not work... İ have a note 2 cell phone and they had worked without any special settings.. Can someone try and see if this kind of programs especially hotspot working with M6 pls? İf works any suggestions with my setings?
)btw I fixed the sound issue as described at previous posts my openening the case (very easy just use a credit card takes 30 sec) and cutting with a sharp knife both plastic parts that limit the sound. So any one who are not happy with sound can do this in 5 min .. Fyi.
So waiting suggestions for hotspot shield problem of mine. Thank a lot to everyone who shares they experiences in this forum and thank you Riley..

hmm if you're talking about lag in videos then that's something I never experienced. I had no problems playing HD videos when running on any of the RileyROMs including 1.4. That was something I was always glad about, that HD movies and games always ran perfectly. What bothered me was the slowness and delays with the stock Browser (Chrome was even worse), general interface lags, slow keyboard on screen keyboard responses and even simply launching the settings. I'm back on 1.3 now and it seems okay but haven't been using it much yet.

To sum up I can confirm that latest riley sdk 2 is best so far..

Re: Pipo M6 4.2.2 RileyROM 1.4 [SDK 2.0] - feedback thread
I found a back door version of a new ROM for the M6 without a change log...except for streamlining...whatever that means.
Do y'all want me to make a ROM and see what this one does for performance? I wanted to wait for an official release.Randy

Frontier's ROM
I'm not sure if it is bad manners to link to someone else's ROM but Frontier has posted a new ROM here:
RK3188 9.7" 4:3 2048×1536 (264ppi) Android 4.2.2 ~ http://pad.zol.com.cn/369/3693715.html ~ http://pipo.cn (not listed as of date of posting)
which has the following:
- Kernel from M6 beta #36
- System from M6 20130802
- Recovery is ClockWorkMod 6.2.1
- Latest Rockchip bootloader v1.24
- Updated Mali 400 drivers
I haven't tried it yet.
