    Are there any lucky owners of M8S Pro+ that have restored TV box after unsuccessful firmware? How? I did not succeed in closing the contacts ...

    Ive managed to change the box from a pc to cable box on the tv and it seems to have fixed it. Theres always something with this box. Ha
    How you handle that? How can i change it from pc to cable box?

    Links for latest OEM firmware in this page at China Gadget Reviews (along with links for USB Burning Tool and Burn Card Maker
    20171124.183803.V0928

    - https://www.chinagadgetsreviews.com/...-tv-box-6.html

    Burn Card Maker is excellent - easy to install firmware - whether OEM or the custom ROMs - without need for special USB cable.

    Yep, I ordered from Geekbuying thinking they had sorted the old stock and would only send the fixed version. I am frustrated to say the least! oh well. am i right in thinking running libreelec from an sd card wont be effected by the internal memory emmc, of the faulty box? or will it somehow mess with libreelec as well?

    am in contact with geekbuying re a refund. they have offered a partial refund................

    I dare not flash any firmware as this looks to be the doomed batch.

    My chipset is a "Sec 725" so it should be fine, shouldn't it? Is it possible to flash an OTA update of the Nexus rom directly over the original firmware?

    Thanks, that is what the supplier of MX-4 told me, that it isn't an adhesive.

    I'm using HC-910, less than a US$ on **** for 10 gram, and with a Full HD stream in Kodi playing for about 2 hours I get stable 72°C. Ambient temperature currently is 28°C as we are in winter period now. :~)

    The trick is to apply it very thin

    If you have V06xx FW and no reset switch you should have a newer box and be OK.
    The brickbug apps can give you codes to Goog - I posted stuff on them way back ....

    Reports are ref. Old Sammy phone and recover a code

    Research seems to suggest CODE:

    AJNB4R = SEC KLMAG1JENB-B041 (v5.1) = Known BAD Check DATE

    AWPD3R = SAMSUNG KLMAG2WEPD-B031 (v5.0)5 = OK
    8WPD3R = 8GB

    S10016 = Kingston eMMC v5.0 - 16GB = Good So Far !

    eMMC Check - also returns a Chip build date - MM/YYYY
    The Date Code on the physical chip is YWW (e.g.646)
    646 -> 11/2016
    SEC 701 to 713 presumably return 01/2017 - 04/2017
    (note 04/2017 covers more than just 713 therefore box would still need to be opened for final confirmation of possible chip issue)

    E&OE

    Hi P.X , you want to run an ultimate heat test?

    I found this app, can download from playstore as well, and this gives you correct results.

    Let it run for 20 minutes or so or till the temperature doesn't increase anymore. It will also show what measures your cpu takes to lower or stabilize the temperature.

    I found the fastest results I got by running it for about 5 minutes, then reboot the box and run it again straight away.

    Look forward to your results
