I had V08.15+SEC713 updated to Nano Rom. Often i need 3 sometimes i need 10 reboots until the box starts and is usable ....Often just boots until the animation and there it animates until i turn off/on again, sometimes it's freezing during the animation, sometimes it starts but something stopped working (for example system ui), than have to reboot it again. Once it started successfully, it's works amazing good (like use it 10 hours for hd movies)

If i do a factory reset than it's good for 2-3 days (equals 2-3 turning offs and turning ons) using and powering off the night. But than after the 3/4 time turning on, same problems appear until factory reset.

Anyone has a idea???

Just a quick question on the TF slot. How would you insert a MicroSD ? To my failing sight it looks like the slot has a different size... I need to know where the MicroSD contacts should be, that is top or down facing and left or right while looking at the box side....

Do anyone here has the problem with marking and copying of a text from a website? Because marking works but if i long press to wait for the popup to copy the text, noting comes ;(...tried it with opera mini, opera, cm browser and chrome always the same issue....This copy popup just appears, if i try to copy the stuff in the web adress, same site trying to copy the text from the website, doesn't work....

Magendanz makes Custom ROMs in ATV and Nexus Full/Nano versions
based on the current release of the base OEM.

I purchased several of these items. However, OS version and kernel version are different for each product.

Some are ANDROID OS with OTA version 90633006 and others are ANDROID TV OS with OTA version 90633006.

This is an important issue when using TV BOX. Because Android os and Android tv os have different executable applications.

I can not understand that different os is installed with the same product.

I've asked the seller why the version is different and how to make Android TV OS to standard Android OS, but I have not heard back for a few days.

Flash it with USB Burning Tool. It might take a lot of tries to get it to flash to 100%, but since the image is so small, it goes really fast. After you've successfully flashed this, you should be able to boot LibreElec from SD, or boot TWRP from SD and try to install an older TVStock OTA (I was able to install 20170730 TVStock, YMMV)

Gonna write this in case it helps someone in the same situation as me.

I got a box with the faulty eMMC and 20170829 firmware. After trying to update to a newer OEM version, I bricked it. USB burning tool always fails at 98%. I thought at least I would be able to use it for LibreElec off an SD card but the light stayed red+blue and didn't turn on.

After trying a hundred different times and many different things, I was able to get it to a point where it reliably loads LibreElec from an SD card and so far it seems to work perfectly. Here's what I did:

- Took the M8S_PRO+-20170829.121614.V0321.img that Magendanz posted
- Opened it with Amlogic Customization Tool
- Opened C:\Program Files (x86)\Amlogic\CustomizationTool\tmp\level2\system in Windows Explorer and deleted everything in that folder.
- Packed it with Amlogic Customization Tool, resulting in a ~67MB img file
- Flashed that img file with USB Burning Tool. Tried all the different "Erase flash" options. "Erase bootloader" checked.

Sometimes the flashing process crapped out halfway, sometimes it finished successfully. I got many successful flashes but LE still didn't load fully. I'm not sure if I did something different this last time or if it was pure luck, but now it loads LE successfully all the time.

For some reason, LE 8.2-8.2.0.1 doesn't load. It works fine with an older 8.0.2a and with a newer 9.x from http://kodi.adamg.co.uk/libreelec/releases/ (I used 1.0.4.1)

I don't want to try flashing anything again for fear of bricking it again. If you are in the same boat with a bricked M8S Pro+ and want to try loading LE on it, let me know and I'll upload the stripped img file for you to try.

UPDATE: Shortly after posting this, I decided to take the plunge and try flashing the full M8S_PRO+-20170829.121614.V0321.img with USB Burning Tool and lo and behold, it flashed successfully! Everything is back to how it was when I first received it, and so far there haven't been any crashes. So it appears there's hope after all for boxes with bad eMMC, even if they were shipped with 20170829 firmware. As a side note, I did lose Widevine L1, it's now L3.

I believe you need to install Android Terminal app ( in Mecool ) and write reboot update ... It should boot for LibreElec, at least it worked for my box ...
