Sorry for my questions but I´m a little ( LOT ) noob regarding boot Libreelec form sd card in Mecool … I´ve been running Libreelec in my Raspberry Pi 2 ( which I like a lot ) but decide to upgrade to S905x, so I could enjoy more picture quality (4K and HDR, and all the sound formats).
My Mecool come with firmware 7.1.1 NHG47L20170919.150557.V0619.
    Questions:
-The file /image that I should use is LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.1.10, correct? It´s necessary do make any change after burn the image? Can you put the right link I should use, please?
-When you say “ If you want reboot in Android you should pick Reboot from internal from shutdown menu on Libreelec. “ do you mean that inside Libreelec we have an option to choose reboot to android TV ( mecool SO ).
-After I´ve done “ With SD card in slot in Terminal app you should type reboot update and then box reboot Libreelec “ what will happen anytime I shut down the box? Does it stays on Libreelec when I turn on the box?
    - Which app to you use for “you should type reboot update and then box reboot Libreelec “ ? Can I use “Android Terminal “?
Maybe this will help a little, I am showing how to install LibreELEC on my Mecool M8S Pro, and not my Mecool M8S Pro PLUS, but the procedure is the same. You just have to get the correct firmware and DEVICE TREE.

Has anyone else got their device set to chinese(or something that looks like chinese). I flashed Magendanz's ATV ROM. I had to change language setting to English. But if I remove and connect HDMI cable, it resets back to chinese. I installed kodi but display setting is showing 1920x1080p and it is greyed out. Did I get a defective box?

Yes, it supposed to support Widevine level 1, so yes, it will support Netflix in 1080P. Mine is in transit, should receive sometime next week, and I can verify that it does in fact do Netflix in HD.

acefr is correct, no Linux/LibreELEC drivers for the dirt cheap WiFi Chip they put in the M8S Pro+
Even the WiFi Chip manufacturer will not release the driver source code to LE developers, enquiries have already been made.

Its why I would recommend actually buying the MECOOL M8S Pro L - that has working Bluetooth and AC WIFi in both Android and LibreELEC and has no risk of receiving a box with dodgy eMMC Samsung flash storage (yet)
Guest has also made a similar recommendation.

    The device-tree is from:

is it not supported or is there a way to get it work?
From what I understand, LibreELEC does not support this wifi module, so you need to provide a LAN connection. Not sure if this info is still up to date.

I updated the firmware (NHG47L 20170919.150557.V0619) on my box by zip file using a usb stick. I have never flashed a box before by the method described on the op. Is there any difference between the two methods? Thanks
