Wow!!!! I like your attention to detail.

    1. I assure you that this IS version 1.8 of the RileyROM. To be honest, I didn't even notice that Tattman65 put the version number on the screen. I quite like his artwork and hate to waste it...so I tend to recycle the bootanimations for at least a few versions. He usually doesn't put the version number...so I can do this. So you got me there!!!! hahaha It looks like Tatty will need to do me another set of screens for the next ROM...whenever that comes.

    2. Yes, this IS SDK 2.0...it has been for the last 2 versions...I just figured it was old news.

    3. In order to get greater compatibility with apps in the Google Play Store, I experimented on this ROM with spoofing it as a Samsung tablet. It really didn't make much difference, and the change caused other apps to show the wrong model. The next versions will revert back to just leaving those settings alone.

My priority is providing the most recent firmware in a custom ROM that is rooted. As icing on the cake, I have learned some tweaks that improve the user experience and allow more functionality. I try to preserve as much of the functionality in the stock ROM as possible...but I strip it down to the bare minimum, hence the debloat process. If I use a Chinese version of the ROM, I remove all of the Chinese specific apps.

I'm glad you are enjoying the ROM.

I'm looking forward to doing the next one, hopefully soon.

      1. Flashing a PiPO Tablet ROM IMG from PiPo or from Randy will always reset the whole tablet and erase

Just a quick question - was my posting too much off-topic, since I didn't receive any reply?

Question number 2 - I flashed the V1.8 last week and the tablet is running better than before. But the WLAN problems still exist (sort of), the tablet disconnects and it takes quite some time to reconnect. But I don't have to switch WLAN off and on any more.
Question number 3 - Chrome seems to be more responsive. I don't know whether it is the new ROM or the new Chrome version.
Question number 5 - Solved, the CWM works normal and I can use all the options.

Are there any plans on triggering the Reboot App when pressing the power button like in CM 10.1?

            ok no problems.
Could you explain me how you can open the Pipo Firmware to extract all the files?
Have you got a tuto for how to customise the Rom's ?

            Thanks

In this step, the number is different and I don't know why and how to resolve this.

"Wait a few seconds and then click the "EraseIDB" button. It should count up to 16384. If it doesn't count all the way to 16384, you don't have a proper connection...so start over by rebooting to system. You will get a confirmation box that says Erasing IDB OK. Click OK."

As long as it counts all the way up to the number on the screen...it is OK. If it only counts a few numbers and finishes...then there is a problem.

                        Here is the link.

                        Bootanimation

You need to open the zip file...within it is another zip file which is the bootanimation. Just rename it bootanimation.zip and copy it to the system/media folder. Give it 755 permissions.
                        It doesn't work...

When I installed the ROM, like everybody I had blank screen after your logo. I renamed bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.old, and the default android boot logo appears.

Then I downloaded the bootanimation.zip file you provided and placed it into the right folder with the permissions, but the default android logo remains.

                        Any idea?

PS: I can live with the android default boot logo, he! Just wondering if an easy workaround exist...

New firmwares released, 2 of them are dated 20130801. Seems a mix of chinese and 3G versions:

And someone has already tested it on 4pda (russian community).

He says, that this firmware is much more stable!

So, rrileypm, please, have a look... Thanks!

                                Hello,

Is there a possibility to leave the original loading image instead of the one found in your ROM.

I encountered a small problem at first reboot in CWM. I did not have the Power button.

                                Thank
