It seems you've not only wiped your data, but you wiped your system partition too. The OTA updater script first checks to see that it's being installed on the expected configuration, and to do that it reads the build.prop from the system partition. If that's not present, it understandably fails.

At this point, you've got to flash the Amlogic burn package, either using USB Burning Tool or an SD card using BootcardMaker.

Hi Magendanz, first of all, thank you for these wonderful roms. but i've some problem tho. I've accidentally wipe all data using advance wipe twrp. When I reboot (by clicking the button bellow the box), and try to install the ota update(nano, stock, stocktv), some error produced like the attachment below. Im using m8s pro 2gb/16. When I try to install the img, there is no sufficient space error. Please show me how to fix this....thanks in advance

I loaded up this image M8S_PRO-V0321_Stock-20170807.img on my M8S Pro (3Gb/32Gb) Variant.
Installed Ok, All my usual apps worked fine (Netflix, Spotify, Plex, VLC, etc)
Much cleaner that the MECool default image.

The only trouble I seem to be having is that the 5Ghz Wifi Radio seems to drop it's wifi conection every 10-15 mins. if I go back into the network setting and tell it to connect again it's fine for a while.
The 2.4Ghz Wifi Radio doesn't seem to have the same problem

I'll continue to test this and see if I can put any logic to when It drops etc....
OK, So I took the M8S Pro back to the MECool NMF26Q_20170707.094 Image and the problem with the 5Ghz Wifi Radio dropping out went away.
I then went back to the MECool NMF26Q_20170524.163 Inage and the 5Ghz Wifi Radio started dropping out again.

From what I can see your Nexus Stock image is based on the NMF26Q_20170524.163, so they must have fixed a few things around the 5Ghz Radio in the latest release.

Happy to test again if you have time to update the nexus stock image...

Yes I thought it was a bit strange. I'll do some more test8mg tomorrow, will go back to the MECool Rom and verify that its no doing it on that image...

If you diff the two system directories, you'll notice that I really don't touch the WiFi settings, so it should be exactly the same as the underlying OEM firmware.

    Thanks for the reply Magendanz.
I have solved my litlle "problem" of screen size with the parameters of my TV (I chose the "over-screen" param and the box image fit the sreen perfectly)
Your Rom work nicely and much better than the ugly mecool rom ^^

Yes, the More Settings (traditional non-ATV Settings.apk) has never had screen resolution or position. Those are available only from TVSettings.apk. That should be true in the OEM firmware from the factory too.

Unfortunately it seems the pinhole reset is no longer working so can't use either of those methods.

Does flashing via sd boot card require reset also?

If you power up with the reset button (pinhole on bottom) pressed, it will take you to TWRP Recovery. From there, you can do a data wipe. Alternatively, you can do a fresh flash from the burn package (.img file) using USB Burning Tool.

Did the OTA update but did not wipe data first, box is now bricked with only red light on box and black screen on TV. How can I get it back?
