Do you think I should try that?

Works well... except that I can't install Netflix. Play Store doesn't find it at all... If I navigate straight to a known version of the app in the store, it says "isn't supported on your device".
Thoughts?
Whenever I have issues with apks either with Stock or Android TV Roms I just download the apks from apkmirror.

20171005. IS precious,
09.18 is not. It is updated 08.25?
TWRP seemed to default away from 10.05.
Instead, re-flashing 20170918.
Multiple attempts led to confusion about build date seen.
It Works very well so far, and has tamed the box substantially. Refining nougat always a good thing.
Clarify please. There is no issue running SuPro or TWRP... but, Do Not update version?
btw,
ES file pro rarely able to find SD card.
Copying, moving, space availability is laborious at best.Last edited by ClarkKent; 20 October 2017, 01:47.

The V0169 build is a big improvement (and is upgrade to 7.1.2), so I definitely recommend that one.
The Google Search bar is an element of the launcher, whether Google Now or Pixel Launcher, and I don't make modifications to those. If you like the swipe-up for the nav bar, that's in the "precious" ROM, but for this device I actually prefer this one. (Precious is great for running on many different configurations, but that's not really an issue here.) You've got the persist.fw.force_adoptable=true in this build.prop, and so mounting external storage shouldn't be an issue.
As for 32-bit vs. 64-bit, we've found that the 32-bit versions run cooler with fewer compatibility issues and generate ROMs that are smaller because of less code bloat. And, with only 3GB RAM, we're not really hitting a limitation on address space yet. Some may argue that 64-bit is faster, but I'm still not convinced.

Mag, Thanks to yur Rom-magic, I'm seeing a real impressive box-healing.
Running 09.18 ubug: c__d. Codename: REL. This your latest "precious" ? ...l expected to see it dated 10.05
Previously, you kinda praised the 08.25nano ...it refuses to flash. Any ideas? Or am I better with the 09.18?
Any tweak to ;
- Remove google search bar?
- Add swipe up to bring up lower action bar, after hiding?
- Force mounting of All ext. Storage @ boot? This sometimes better, but a conflict is present.
-- Finally, l believe in build prop ed that 32bits is what's operating. S/B 64, yes? Can / should it be changed?

I think you'd have better luck starting with this ROM: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...android-tv-7-1

Hi there,
I'd like to try to flash this on my Vorke Z1, which is currently running Vorke's Z1-Userdebug 7.1.1 NMF26Q 20170428.150912.V0222 build as was delivered to me. This build seem flaky at best (no sleep, apps hanging etc.).
Do you think it's worth me trying Magendanz's ROM on my box even though it's not a Mecool M8S Pro? Seems like the same hardware? I've installed TWRP, but I'm I'm running linux on my laptop and don't have access to Windows. Can I get away with flashing one of the OTA updates from TWRP?
Also, I'm a bit confused about the latest change to this ROM using the ATV firmware. I want to be able to use touchscreen keymappers (like tincore) to simulate screen strokes for some games that don't support physical controllers. My understanding is that ATV does not come bundled with the wares to support touch/multitouch/fake touch. Does this ROM?
thanks

The 912 Pro update window has OTA, and local option...
Did have to get the update on USB or SD,
I forget whichever worked now.
Then the factory ui was able to see, access and execute the update correctly w/o TWRP.
This flashed one of M's ROMs and acquired root.
Since, all been through TWRP in Recovery.Last edited by ClarkKent; 13 October 2017, 04:22.

What is your FW Date?
5/24 /17 had the option to apply a local.
1 try the system wanted only look to SD.
next time looked to USB.
Wth !?? IDK, I assure you. Moved zip to exterior storage.
Viola, done.
But are you saying that you solved a problem by moving the OTA update to USB istead of SD card? Did you use TWRP then or something else?
