Hi there, and thank you Magendanz for these ROMs.
I have received my m8s recently and installed the last Stock Variant directly. But I never managed to connect to any bluetooth "remote control" app despite trying a dozen... The tv box is quite unpracticable without a keyboard.
I didn't try on the OEM ROM. I don't have any physical bluetooth keyboard to try either.
Does anybody experience the same issue? Any hints? Any working android app? Can it be linked to the Rom?

You seem to have wiped the previous system partition, so it's got no build.prop to check its environment. You'll need to use the burn package (.img file) and Amlogic USB Burning Tool now.

Everything is alright in TV ROM. But when I try to flash last nano ROM, I got error 7. What am I doing wrong?

There's really nothing to do. The one I created for the GT1 based on the TX8 Max will work identically on the M8S Pro. I'm really just waiting for the final OEM firmware release (with the Bluetooth audio fix).

No I don't think so. The change log refers to the OEM firmware (the last update).

The rest of the post is about the new PRECIOUS rom that replace the OEM updates in future.

You're not the only one experiencing stability issues with time. I don't make low-level changes that would affect that in my custom ROMs, so we just need to wait for an updated OEM firmware.

hello friend magendanz ha, first of all I want to congratulate you for your rom, I apologize to you because I do not speak English and I have to translate this conversation, I am writing this message to request your help since I am new to the subject of installing rom in tv box, buy a tv box ms8 pro of 3gb of ran and 32gb rom in aliexpress I worked well for a few weeks, but after a while it started to get frozen in the beginning in the image of mecool, so I decided look for solution to the problem and in the forum of the page androidpc, I was suggested to install another rom so I get to this page and your tutorial, installing by means of sd card the rom nano20170825 that you publish in # 39, after installing it erase the data through TWRP Recovery,
I restore it from the factory, then install some applications and there are problems started: - because it started to freeze the window moved the mouse cursor but could not execute anything from the window -I connected to Bluetooth through my cell to send an apk that wanted to install and the box box recognized me but did not receive the apk salian that were not supported - finally turn it off when I freeze the android and when it was frozen it was frozen in the beginning or in the image of nexu in that you can help me to work well my tv box with this rom, or that I did wrong, I hope your answer and in advance many thanks

For an SD card install, you'll need Amlogic's BootcardMaker, which is also linked from the original post. I don't think it works with a USB flash drive, though.

Personally, I find the USB Burning Tool much more reliable, if you can find a male-to-male Type A USB cable.

I thought you had to plug the android box directly to PC with USB cable to use this tool? Are there instructions somewhere how to make a bootable USB and using it to replace the FW on the box? On plugging in the USB stick into PC whilst running the Tool, no device is connected and start button doesn't seem to do anything

I managed to wake it up. I did a swipe from the recovery and for the last two days works fine. I would like to test the stock rom but i am afraid...

Go for it! Nothing ventured, Nothing gained! ;-)
