I think the company that creates these is working on an android 8.0/8.1 firmware update.
The only issues that bugger me is no support for MediaCodec, poorly working Chromecast and restart on standby. I think it would be better to see those fixed insteed of new Android.

Quick question. I got an M8S Pro L, and i would so much like to get it up and running plain Android instead of Android TV. There are probably a number of ways to do this, but at the time of writing, i know of exactly zero, so i would really like to step that up to at least one. Thank you in advance.

Go back to page 1 post 1 and you will find what you need.
Nano is the small version and Stock is the one with Google apps thrown in.

Clarification: This is for the M8S PRO PLUS, not the M8S PRO L. For that device, go here: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...om-android-7-1
